First of all, these hosts (assuming you are referring to Shane and myself) shouldn't have to do anything but make sure everything runs smoothly. By being hosts we are not making ourselves "bosses" nor trying to make all the shots. And we are not committing ourselves to being there every meet. Like Shane said, we are normal people who have others things to do once in a while . And second, for those saying that this meet is "dying" down, I have no idea what meets you guys are going to. FYI (for you newer guys), this meet actually started YEARS ago. It went on great for a while until other things caused it to die out. Then, a year or so after, myself along with other members decided to try to get this 818 meet started again. It started out with less than a handful of members and has grown ever since. The ONLY reason why this meet has been a bit different the last few meets is because a large part of the 818 folks have been trying to watch the playoff laker games.

- If you guys really have a problem changing plans just because of a Laker game, then so be it. (But then don't start asking why its so lonely ).

I didn't understand them on the part with the meet is dying down without the host either. I think what they ment is newbs might think that since hosts and the normal-usual people at the meet are not going, it's not worth going at all, or the meet "wont be big enough" to be worth going. Or also they might feel hosts should show up to all their meets in their opinion. I agree everybody has their own lives. Plus it's Not who's hierarchy or who's shotcallin anything or whos the big boss. The issue was not over that or as I saw it.

Lonely? Because they don't like the change in plans because of the lakers they're gonna be lonely? You gotta be kidding me, we'll never be lonely, I will never be lonely lol. Maybe to the newbs that show up to the meet that dunno whats going on because information is not updated enough to them. But then again I don't have a problem with Lakers game and meets, if anything set a meet, then cruise somewhere to watch lakers game, ain't nobody got no problems of that, this issue was over the assumption of disorganization because of information was not updated, but I guess it swayed out to fvcking basketball and than whos big boss daddy lmao. Shiet I'm a Laker fan too so all G. Good to see every chim in and clean it up.

Considering that Laker games start at 7:30 or earlier, I would have to say its pointless to "meet up" and then roll out. Especially since many people show up at 8 or 8:30. For this case, it's easier to have a meet and do what ever you want afterwards (the usual plans), or bring the meet somewhere else. A hybrid of the two isn't going to work out because of time constraint.

Again, its up to you guys. It's not like it really matters to me, because I already know what I'm going to do if there is a Laker game. I hope some people don't get offended if someone doesn't show up because they don't want to miss something that doesn't happen twice.

We have enough time to discuss this and plan it out accordingly.

I already posted my idea of bringing the meet to a place where we can all see the game and hang out (IF there's a game on a meet day). But apparently a few people are really against the idea.

Like I said, its up to everyone else. I won't do anything until a majority of those who actually comment and state their thoughts come in to an agreement.

good shi* Henry

That is PRECISELY why I thought the bowling alley was a good idea. Reasons being:

1) It has food
2) For those that don't want to bowl, you don't have to. Rather, you can just kick it with us and fuc* around
3) They have a bar
3a) 21+ can drink
3b) Under 21 are allowed in
3c) Has billiards and a TV to watch the game
4) Was very cheap ($1 games!)

So I thought it was a perfect place to meet. And now that we know that the parking lot gets INSANELY crowded, there is a Target with an open parking lot across the street that would work perfect for everyone to park at.

Target Parking Lot might be your bingo, sounds good.

Also, I dont think they were against the idea about holding a laker meet, they misunderstood and thought that people would not care about their own meet over Lakers lol.
