So if that's the case, let it be known....ahead of time. If it will be held at a different location for the remainder of playoffs, then let that be known as well. This is not for myself and Robby, this is to inform others. Again, I'll say that I got calls from people asking if I was at Sports Chalet still, because at the time it was, we may have gone to get some food or something and I informed people that called me that the meet had been moved to another location and they were not aware of that.

So, cliffnotes..

If you're not gonna have the meet during the playoffs, let people know. You're right, people are stressing over something so minute. Then you have people that are trying to establish structure for the sake of EVERYONE.

Simple question...for the duration of the playoffs, will the meets be held at the standard location or will they be moved to another location?

 

Finally, someone else understands. I don't get why people can't understand this. It's elementary.

 

Haha yeah I know because I have a friend lives in LC and I told him to go check out the meet but I ended up telling him not to go because Andrei told me not joking like 4 location changes, time changes, etc. So I told my friend f.uck it, don't go.

And what would have happened if Dre didn't message you? Your friend would have gone and been like "wtf man, nobody was there, is this the right place? what happened? this is BS. I'm not comin to this sh*t again."

And that's what we don't want. As ENTHUSIASTS, we want people to come to the meets. The more the merrier right? More friendships, more conversations, better and more fun times? But when you have people lose interest because they see this sh*t, it just ruins it all and that's how things die down....word gets spread, etc. For the sake of the meet, I'm suggestion you postpone it. But I'm not the host, I don't run the meet, so that individual must come up with the answer.

 

It's not happening this Thursday. I was going to say it's next thursday but it's actually not even then. It takes place on the 2nd and 4th tuesday of each month, so the next meet would be on May 14. As for location, I have no idea.

But that's not what happened last time. People were not aware of the changes, at least not everyone was. And when you have half the people saying lets do this, and the other saying we're doing this, it just makes it too confusing. The individual responsible for this meet must decide. Simple as that.

 

woh heated discussion up in here I hope we can solve this so we can keep the 818 meet going strong. I nominate someone who goes to the meets 99% of the time to be the coordinator of the meet. I'm not saying the host SHOULD go to every meet but the other way around. Someone who ALREADY goes to every meet, to stand up and take charge. That way if a group wants to do something separate (which they are 100% free to do so) can do so without having to worry about misleading others about when the meet will be held. This way the person in charge will give the definite answer

I edited my post, but Robby you took my word "battle" WAY out of context, lol. I'm not sure why this is getting heated. BTW the reason why we changed the last meet was because it was my LAST meet before I move, so we wanted to do something fun. Sorry if that disrupted your guys' schedules, and I appreciate ALL of you guys for showing up - thanks.

And sorry, but you guys are trippin' out about this meet "dying." It's been fine besides last change, why are you guys saying that?

No Levon the meet will never change. That was a 1 time thing because John is moving. I'm almost positve we stated that as well, I know I did, we don't change the meet just for the hell of it.

This meet has NEVER been unorganized, I'll give you the last meet.

Givin less people haven't been showng up lately but it has nthing to do with the organzation of the meet. It has been due to laker games, work, finals and school.

And to answer your question Levon, simply no, the meet is at sport chalet. Wanna watch the playoffs don't come, simple.
If we want to change location from here on out we will discss it the meet prior and the weeks before so there is no confusion.
