So is the regular meet going on next Thursday? I think we should determine whether it will be held at the same location or not, that way people know in advance whether to go there, because I know several people were gonna go last time, not knowing that it was moved.

If anyone else wants to make any unofficial meet, as long as its not really tied in to this meet, they are free to do so. I.E. Some of us might be bowling at the same bowling place we went to on the 7th.
I don't think we should make anything official as to what place we should make our meet for the 14th, because if a Laker game is on, I can assure you almost no one will go unless we make it at a place where we can watch the game.
The "Regular" meet will always be held on the 2nd & 4th of the month.

I just think it needs to be settled at least several days in advance what will happen. I got a call from 3 people asking if I was at the meet for the regular location. Not everyone checks this thread to find out and I'm sure some people may have showed up and just left.
Perhaps they should check the thread then? I mean it only makes sense to do so, doesn't it? As for the last meet, it was held, just at a different location. Plus it was spoken about several days in advance, just people decided to flip out about it because we moved the location ...

I dont think you want to ruin a meet just because of a game. If thats the case, then pass the meet to some other person that will show to his own meet. This is the only meet thats close to me with a good group of people to hang and chill with.
We had an average of 25+ cars coming, now it's like 10
Also updating the thread about certain events is the smart thing to do. New comers are not going to sit here and read through pages of nonsense trying to figure out whats going on. It's really unorganized and really needs to taken care of, because I have no idea if this meet is even alive. Seems dead to me.

It was talked about 2 days before the meet. Some people do not frequent the boards as others do. Plus with all these pages of going off topic it's a bit hard to sift through it all. Updates should be made in the first post for one, date should be changed, and even then the message may not get out to some.
The meet was held, but it was not a car meet like it usually is, where we meet up at Sports Chalet then head to a bar or whatnot. I realize you have to get to the bowling place early, completely understandable.
My point is that the last time, it was poorly organized because evidently people did not know exactly what was going on. It just needs more structure and organization, that's all. Having known ahead of time will help and either the "regular" meet is held at the same spot or it is can canceled while a "mini-meet" or "playoff meet" or whatever you want to call it is held.
