To respond to a few of the concerns/issues that were stated:

- First of all, I completely understand when you guys refer to the thread title/first post not being updated. I take complete responsibility for that. I guess after everyone kept on asking "what time is this meet going on at?", "Where is it at?" a billion times, I figured no one even bothered reading the first post (though the thread title should still have been updated). I will do my best to update the first post, or atleast the thread title as soon as we are sure what we're going to do for the next meet.

- This meet is dying down...because the hosts are not there? First of all, these hosts (assuming you are referring to Shane and myself) shouldn't have to do anything but make sure everything runs smoothly. By being hosts we are not making ourselves "bosses" nor trying to make all the shots. And we are not committing ourselves to being there every meet. Like Shane said, we are normal people who have others things to do once in a while . And second, for those saying that this meet is "dying" down, I have no idea what meets you guys are going to. FYI (for you newer guys), this meet actually started YEARS ago. It went on great for a while until other things caused it to die out. Then, a year or so after, myself along with other members decided to try to get this 818 meet started again. It started out with less than a handful of members and has grown ever since. The ONLY reason why this meet has been a bit different the last few meets is because a large part of the 818 folks have been trying to watch the playoff laker games.

- If you do not visit the thread for updates, then that's not our fault Yes, I admit that I should have updated the thread title itself. And I will do so as soon as possible. But its not our fault that you didn't read through a few pages

- We met up at the bowling alley last meet for a few reasons. First, there was a Laker game going on. And it seemed like many of us were ok with going to place where we could all go and hang out, bowl, and watch the game. Secondly, it was possibly's John's last meet. And we thought it would be nice to go somewhere else. I didn't think it was going to be such a big deal for anyone else. And yes, it was poorly organized. But this WAS the meet.

- Again, the regular 818 meets will ALWAYS be held on the 2nd and 4th of the month. It has always, and always will. The only exception I could think of was during the holiday season, where the meet conflicted with some holidays and we shifted the dates for a month or so. We have also bounced around from place to place, but only because we have gotten kicked out from certain places.

- And again, there isn't any hierarchy here. We try to ask you guys what you guys would like to do next, and based on the majority, we do what we feel is best for the meet.

- If you guys really have a problem changing plans just because of a Laker game, then so be it. (But then don't start asking why its so lonely ).

I didn't think all of this was such a big issue, but im glad it was said. Because there are a few things that could be done better.

What was said was said, and let's not make this seem like there's any conflicts going on between members or the shameless word of "drama". We are all a group of enthusiasts who enjoy going out to meet fellow enthusiasts for a variety of reasons. We might not all agree with each other, but I'm glad to see this meet has been running great without any serious issues (though some of the things said were exaggerated or blown out of proportion).

So it seems to me like one thing is clear: Leave the 818 meet as it has been for the last handful of months (?). That isn't a problem to me. I actually thought we were doing you guys a favor, and extending our invatation to the rest of the members out there who wanted to join us at a different location for different reasons. I don't know about you guys, but going to the same spot every single time became tiresome. But again, if the majority wants to do so, that's fine with me.

If the majority of you guys can agree to go somewhere where most of us can watch the Laker game and hang out for the meet on the 14th (IF there is a Laker game!), then that's great. If not, then, again, we can keep this at the same place.
