That sounds pretty cool. I would love to see what the CEL code is on my car. Maybe we can shut it off finally, . I am pretty sure it has something to do with the TT and 3" turbo back exhaust though. Maybe the race gas too...

LOL, I will probably be all over the place this track event as I STILL haven't gotten my suspension issues fixed. I also made things worse by taking even more weight off of the back with a CF hatch and lexan window. So don't expect much from my car this weekend as it will be in desperate need of some new springs and a good corner balancing.

You guys are killing me....anyway email from SV

Greetings Drivers,

In addition to the information found on our website, here is some
specific
information pertaining to this weekend's event at Spring Mountain. Be
sure
to read this email!!

1.
We will have modified passing rules at this event. The RED group will
be
open passing as usual. The BLUE group will be open passing on the
straights
and point-by only in the turns. The WHITE group will be point-by
passing
ANYWHERE on track (regular BLUE group rules), including the turns. The
YELLOW group will remain point-by passing between turns only.

2.
The track charges a gate fee: $5 per person for the weekend.

3.
SCHEDULE: At the end of this email are our schedules for Saturday and
Sunday. We will do our dangnest to stick to them, and if we get off
schedule
we will try to get back on schedule. The Sunday schedule is pasted
below
the Saturday schedule. If you are attending Sunday, make sure you look
at
that schedule as well. Remember, please show up at the track at 7am
and
come straight to the registration area to check in BEFORE UNLOADING
YOUR
CAR!

4.
GASOLINE: the lifeblood of our sport. Gas is available at the track.
The
best place to fill up before getting to the track is the Mobil station
just
a few miles north (towards town). Make sure you show up with enough
gas to
run your first session at least! There will be no gas available until
9:00am.

5.
The Saturday evening social event will be held at 6:30pm at Romero's
Mexican
restaurant, located at 290 Humahuaca Pahrump, NV 89048. To get there,
drive
North on the main strip (160) past the Nugget casino, turn right on
Oxbow
and then left on Hamahuaca.

6.
Lodging: If you haven't already booked a room and cannot find one, I
may
have one or two left.

7.
If you haven't chosen your car number, you can do so at
https://www.speedventures.net/car_num_login.asp, though it is not
mandatory
to select one online. You may select a number at random as it is
unlikely
to conflict with that of another driver.

8.
The tech form is a must-have at the event. Be sure to print it out and
fill
it out before the event, and bring it with you to registration:
http://speedventures.net/tech2.doc.

9.
There is also a track event checklist available if you're not sure what
you
should bring: http://speedventures.net/Track_Checklist.HTM

As always, the FAQ should answer the most commonly-asked questions:
http://speedventures.net/FAQ.asp

That's about it. See you bright and early at the track!

Weather report calls for sunny and windy with temps reacing high 70s to low 80s. Its in the middle of the desert (literally) so expect a lot of dust.

It was definately a great time out there today despite cording one of my tires, which ended my weekend . It was definately a strong showing by the 350Z/G35 community. Met some new people, put some faces to forum names and almost got Tony car sick lol. We will have to organize these things more often.

Heck yeah!

That was a lot of fun. Great track day and got to meet a lot of of the Z/G community. And everybody from VRT!

Mike you drive like a made man!

We'll have to do this more often.

Now I have a lot of good track data on the lap top to sift through.

I definately agree that we should do this again. If everybody likes coming to Vegas, Speed Ventures is going to be at Las Vegas Motor Speedway mid-June. Or we can do a Willow Springs or Buttonwillow event.

Can't wait to hear what data you come up with Tony. We need some more track inspired products

Indeed a great time out!!!! We had a great group.

Mike thanks for going on the ride along I was really pissed about the whole tire noise. But your words of encouragement "Just go out and drive the **** out of it" worked and I finally ran some decent times I think.

Tony it was good to see you out again man. I love the new Z. Hope you got all the data you were looking for. I wanna get my Log from Gurgen so I can see what my SC was doing.

We had a great showing with the G's/Z's and S2K's we need to do it soon again. I think Im going to have to run Fontana on the 18th or 19th witht he Porsche Club.

Glenn I would have pics but I left my camera in the hotel. Something about 3 hours of sleep and tracking just dont go together.

It was nice meeting you too Jay the other S owners.. Although I was the only G (IP running CE28N) to caravan with the S crew on Friday, they helped make me feel at home. What a great bunch (although crazy ) of people!!

It was definately a great event!! Got to meet other G owners, S owners and got to see the awesome VRT G's. Definately looking forward to the next track event.... At least I will know what to expect next time..

[edit]
Also, I can't f*ckin believe we walked from that "one place" all the way down to the hotel (Bellagio, I think) where our cars were parked... I didn't arrive at the condo til 5:30am.. damn..

Clint - Thanks for helping setup this track event!! I guess, ill be spending more money in the near future. Thanks Clint for getting me "Hooked on Track"...

Jeff - Thanks (you too Clint) for trying to teach me how to play craps.. although I really don't remember much from the alcohol that we consumed, so you may need to refresh my memory the next time we're in Vegas for another track event...

Alex (ohsobad) - Thanks for getting the phrase "*******" (in Alex's own unique voice) stuck in my head.. You're funny as hell!!

Glenn - It was nice meeting you on Friday before the caravan.. too bad you were'nt able to join us for the tracking..

It was nice meeting all of you guys...!! Until the next track event!

Ill post the pics I have tonight..

cheers..

Michael

Thanks for the ride I am glad it was just rubber and not something serious. I went back out Sunday to spectate hoping some of you guys would be there still, but everybody partied too hard Saturday night I guess lol. Of course, Sunday the Ford GT, Ferrari 360 Challenge, and C6 ZO6 all decided to run in the advanced group instead of intermediate like the did Saturday. I really wanted to go up against them.
