I'm asking since it took me a while to change my 8 pads (but it was my first time - could probably do quick next time)
Yes all 8 (a set of 4). Once you've done it a few times it's not soo bad, especially the Brembo equipped ones (lucky bastards!). You can hold off swaping in and out of the track pads until you are home. Most track pads (not all) will actually work fine on the street, but at the expense of annoyingly loud squeaks and some choppiness ... just enough to cope with to and from the track.

Hey Clint, you're talking about Pahrump. There are no 4 star hotels at all and the ones they do have barely rate the same as a Courtyard. There arent too many other motels in the area. I have stayed at Best Western and friends have stayed at Saddlewest and all room have been clean. Sadlewest has a nght security guard that patrols the parking lot. We leave our bikes out on trailers at night and hae never had a problem.

So in your opinion which one is better? Remember I have a wife tagging along you know how women get about the restrooms in these hotels.

Best Western. Its just as clean as what the Nuggest has.

Here's the link to the Nugget:

I'd be more concerned about the restrooms at the track. They used to have porta-potty's, but they recently upgraded to a trailer-potty.

Looks good chief I hope the rooms are as clean as the pics. Is there a Courtyard by Marriot nearby you said something about it earlier, but did not elaborate?

This is my first time, so I have a question. Do we have to wear helmets, which I assume we do, where can I get one? Is there the possibility of renting one? Second, I have the hp+ pads, but i've never changed mine, should i have a shop do it, or is someone willing to help me out for a small fee?

I'll help you change it out if you want, you have a non brembo coupe so that would be easy. Let me know.

I have a helmet that you could use, as long as you promise to wash your hair really well before you put it on. It was only used one day during the Laguna Seca track day. Let me know if you want to barrow it. The size is XL if that works for you.

Later,

Ray
