Hi,

My name is Mike (Friends w/ Clint) and I am coordinating the S2000 side of this track meet. I had the pleasure of meeting you guys up in Laguna Seca. I just got off the phone w/ Speedventures, and we got our self a decent deal:

http://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php...&f=16&t=362252

Read the thread carefully. Speedventures will be sleeping in Vegas the night before, so we are also going to make plans for Hotel rooms. The tracks is one thing, but we're only 65 miles from Vegas, and you know what that means right boys? Gambling and Woman

Once you signed up, Clint, can you update my site. Thanks alot and hope to see you guys there. We are planning to CARAVAN friday Morning and getting a nice head start to vegas friday afternoon, lunch and dinner and getting well rested for Saturday's event. (Lay low and go to the nudie bar)

See ya!

So we stay in Vegas and just drive at the crack of dawn to the track. Sounds cool that way the wife won't get bored she will have places to go while we set the track on fire. LOL! I will make lodging arrangements over the weekend.

The S2000 guys are leaving their wives at home. You know we can get pretty crazy. (We need to break Clint in at the Nudie Bars)

Hope to see that we can join forces and carvan, stay, and have fun together.

ALL details on our site.

CLint: Still in tahoe????

Back-Cracker,

Looks like Clint is still in Tahoe.
Either that or he's on his way back.

I'm gettin PUMPED about this next event.
Still a little uncertain about the lodging.
Gotta see what everyone else is doing.
I'd say the Tuscany is a good call since it's so highly recommended.
I've never stayed at Stratosphere but i can imagine it can't be that great.

This is gonna be one incredible weekend.

Hi Dru,

The distance between LV and the tracks is 63.1 miles, or 60 mins of driving. Tuscany is has AMPLE amount of parking both NEAR and SAFE to our rooms.
Stratrosphere is not bad, but I know it's not to our taste and likings. Plus Taxi to anywhere is expensve, b/c they are at the end of the strip. Tuscany is adjacent to MGM. Sorta in the middle of things, and the monorail.

We got the night life taken care of, ( ). Let try to get your group to depart a the same time (9AM) on friday, this will allow us time to eat, drive safely, and shop around. (anyone under 21 can still play at night) I got a place. 18 and over.

Friday morning is what i was thinkin as well.
Leaving anytime after 12 on friday would be murder.

We need to figure out who is staying where and what nights.

The plans laid out over at S2Ki.com look like it'll flow nicely.
Prior to hearing those plans, i was thinking about staying that night at a nearby hotel/motel near the track on friday night. Track the next day, then drive up to Vegas for the night. Then driving back to cali on Sunday afternoon.

Has anyone booked a room already?
What's everyone else gonna do?
I think it's a no-brainer that we should all stick together.

Chime in people.

Dru-

You are 100% correct. Leaving after 12 is REDRUM for everyone. If we left at 9AM, there are 2 options:

1- Stay at the Motel next to Tracks. But then what are you going to go from 1-10PM? Drive to Vegas? Might as well stay there.

2. Go to Vegas, get a head up and enjoy the rest of the day there. (Why waste a day in SIN CITY?)

Note: It is VERY difficult to get a room for SATURDAY ONLY. Most resorts req. a Friday and Saturday Stay.

In Short, not only is this a track event, but also Vacation is ways. To sleep @ The tracks and drive up after the track leaves us only with Saturday night to tour/gamble/ etc the city.

I rec. that we either leave early on Sunday or Late. Anything from 12-4 is REDRUM also.

Let us know. The "S" group is staying in Vegas 100%. Many things we can do from 1-11PM

II think it's only me and you Dru- today, b/c its president's day. Tomorrow should be alot/many inputs.

I was thinking the same thing until I saw the post above. It would be a little more expensive but at least the wife will have something else to do. Leaving the wife is not an option for me I'm not as brave as rest of the s2k guys. LOL!

It's exactly 60.00 difference, but will keep your wife sane from unwanted exhaust sound, sweat and dirty men.

Yeah I was going with Dru's idea, but I looked online to try to find a room on Sat. alone and it's pretty hard to find one, so I guess it's Vegas baby.
