I buy all my detailing supplies from properautocare.com
Buy the Porter Cable 7424
http://www.properautocare.com/porcabpolac.html
And follow these instructions and you'll be fine.

Of course if you have questions feel free to drop me a note OR if you want to arrange a group session for HOW TO's let me know.

You can go to Home Depot, Lowes, Builders square and they should sell the same polisher buffer. The model # however is 7336....it's exactly the same specs as the 7424....Just different counterweight.....It's about $100 bucks...I'm in the market for one as well.
I'm not sure about using a cheaper buffer...It may not do the job or worse yet...ruin your paint....For me as the old adage goes...You get what you pay for...But if you do good luck and if it works well....let me know.....Hahah
Nick, How much do you charge for detailing?
