TEXAS: Attn DFW: Drag Race Day @ Texas Motorplex

Copied from the DFW Owners section for you guys that aren't in that forum.

So far it looks like we will have a few guys on the 10th and a few on the 17th but we are expecting the most people on the 10th. We would love to have some of the G35 guys show up so please let us know if you want to come, we are going to try to have a meet up north and drive down together.

The gates open at 11 am, but the actual racing (test and tune day) starts at noon. We want to try to be there at 11 to let the cars rest for an hour so we will probably leave north Dallas around 10.
If you think you can hit 13s, bring a helmet since you need one if you are quicker 14.0. Also, be sure to wear long pants and shoes, as your lower body cannot be exposed. And lose all extra weight on car, like subs, jacks, spare tire, etc.

$15 to race & $10 to watch.

This is the link to the dfw g35 owners club post for this event...let me know if you can't see it...you might have to register for it, i'm not completely sure how it works.

Try to check that thread out, there is more info in there about a pre-meet to drive down to ennis together...or you can go over to my350z and post in there. I'll try to remember to check this thread also.

ok, the final details seem to be that we have a bunch of guys meeting at the Starbucks off of the southwest corner of 75 @ Campbell at 9:30am, we will leave there around 9:45 and head over to 35e @ wintergreen where we are going to meet up with a few other guys at the Holiday Inn on the northwest corner. Plan to get there around 10:15 and leave almost immediately.

You can meet at either place.

We plan to arrive at the track around 11am, gates should be open by then and then let the cars cool down till 12pm when the lanes open.

$10 per head to watch
$15 to race

Need a helmet if you are sub 14sec. The track has 4 helmets if you need to borrow one...i think. We should have enough to share if you need one.

yup, should be fine. The track was called and they said it doesn't look like it is going to rain, cloudy probably but no precipitation.

Not too bad of a turn out. I'd say about a dozen cars at least. Good day for racing too. Got cold fast though. Problem was that the track had obviously not been used much and this weekend was just breakin it in. Every single car (and I do mean every single one) had wheel hop issues. Brand new C6 Z06 was wheel hoppin as it ran an 11.2.

I'll be there next weekend as well. Hopefully it's not as cold
