sadly I don't think so... does any rental car company have manual transmission cars period?

I haven't found one yet....but I can understand why they wouldn't. Imagine all the clutches they'd be going through....

I spent a few hours trying to find a Manual rental in that area yesterday. It seems like Europeans are the only people fortunate enough to be able to rent a stick. Actually from what I've read it seems like an insult to rent an automatic and only americans rent them.

I doubt the clutch would be a problem for rental cars compared to other losses these companty take from consumers, i.e. empty tanks of gas, cigarette burns, stains, dents... And like all these problems (excluding gas) the rental company would just sell the car once the problem gets so bad. But I'm not employed in the car rental company market so my opintions are just speculation.
