Raging Bull Texas Stampede
Yup, just read that it's on again at the moment. Until we have forecasters with crystal *****, it'll be an inexact science at best.
Aside from that, I'd much rather have it this time of year for the lack of "obstacles" mentioned above in addition to that nice, cool, compressed o2 that we get a little performance bump from.
Chaos, it's worth sending him an email to see if anything's opened up. go to rbtexasstampede.com to get his email addy.

What an awesome experience of man, machine, and Texas roads it was. We had a diverse set of machinery of 26 cars including two G35 Coupes, one G35 Sedan (texasscout, of course), several 350Zs plus two 300ZXs, a Lotus Elise, BMW M5 and 335i turbo, Porsche 930 Turbo, Honda S2000, three Corvettes, and VW GTIs. Our adventures covered 748 miles in total. Pictures from the Stampede can be viewed here.
