I'm looking into buying a G35 coupe. I went to Crest yesterday just to look around and the salesman seems to be pretty friendly. If anyone has any stories to share about their shopping experience at Crest or any DFW area Infiniti dealers would be greatly appreciated. I want a 6-speed with every option except for the navigation system, which will add up to approximately 36k. Is the car still going for MSRP, or is it possible to negotiate with the dealer to knock the price down 1-2k? Thanks for any help!

 

IMO, Grubbs in Dallas is the way to go. Ralph is their internet sales manager, and definitely deserver a chance at your business. I was also in the market for a G and found Ralph via internet. He shot me a NO BS price right from the start. I live in Austin, where my local dealer offered me $100 off MSRP after I got up to leave after telling me they don't discount. Ralph offered a price $1700 less MSRP than Austin right off the bat. Not only that, but my car was delivered to my work from Dallas to Austin for no charge. Ralph's no BS sales earned my business and business to come. I got the car I wanted at a price that I believe was fair. Also, Grubbs has a performance department where you can get all your mods done before you receive your car.

Go with Grubbs...talk to Ralph. Didn't like Crest when I went there...they had some high pressure sales tactics going on with me.

I had a good experience at Sewell. Talk with Dan Ulmer. I agree with Moog, Crest was too high pressure.

I ordered a Black/Willow 6MT Coupe w/ every option except Nav from Crest in January '03 and picked it up in May. My experience there was okay, but I wouldn't call it great. Sherry Bankston was my saleslady, and I'm certain I knew significantly more about the car than she did when I was shopping (but I like to know everything about a car I'm looking to buy). She didn't really pressure me or anything, but she constantly pushed back the delivery date for my car; a week here, a week there.

I talked to a salesman at Grubbs (can't remember his name), and he was totally BSing me the whole time, so I just said thanks and left. So I guess I'm not really sure where to tell you to go. Good luck either way though...

I got mine at Crest in Plano and I am about to order another coupe. I worked with Myron Bradford, a friend that works for Honda Cars of McKinney referred me to Myron. He was great.
