where to buy claybar in Houston?

I went to autozone, and asked them, and they never even heard of it. Does anyone know where I can buy a claybar, or the claybar kit around here?

I also know that you're suppose to use some solution when you apply it on the car, people say I can just mix water with car wash soap. Is this true?

I can't believe they didn't have it.
Check another AZ or pep boys or o'reillys, wal mart, or even an ace hardware. I even think that target carries the meguirs stuff.

I use a capful of the zaino soap with water since I got my clay from them as well. I know you can buy the whole mothers or meguirs kit and it comes with a lubricant spray.

A claybar is a great tool for getting general "stuff" off you paint....be it tar, bugs, Houston grunge build-up...whatever. It is a handy tool to have. It literally is a bar of some type of clay.

Eurog, I don't know if you ever found one, but I was at the new autozone in sugar land yesterday and noticed that they had two different brands of claybar kits......

Hey, don't settle for a small piece of putty for like $15-$20. Go to the Meguiar's website. They can locate a dealer (usually automotive shops that deal with special paints, etc.) that actually carries it. Mine was like $20 or $25 but it was a very nice size. Definitely ensure that you are using it with a quick detailer mist.

Also, quick tip for those that might not know this. If you use a damp fabric softener sheet on the bumper, it will do wonders on removing bug crap off.
