a little scary while driving at high speed is great. cato, remember lime creek, yea that was a bit more than a little scary at times but it's lower speed. I'll do my best to make it to your rally.

Just thinking about our drive up Lime Creek gives me the sweats! Man that was dangerous...You gotta drive Lime Creek when there is NO traffic.

Lots of highspeed turns connected to good straightaways. Very much unlike the RB Stampeede where you had to get on the brakes really hard to make the turns. It is an ideal road course provided there are no "law enforcement officers" (LEO) in the area. Soon after I bought my sedan, I took an early morning drive out there and had her up to 110 mph and a huge S*i* Eating Grin (SEG) on my face. The roads out there are made for G35s.
Cato, there is a similar problem with Z owners in Austin - they just luuuuuuv to stand around and talk but have little to no interest in drives. I don't get it: why buy a Z if you aren't going to drive it the way it was designed to be?

Regarding the Houston Rally: Man, I am so tempted, but am concerned that I may be out of my league with my 240SX among your Gs on a high speed run. As you probably know, compared to your Gs I am more limited in speed and acceleration (my speed limiter kicks in a lot sooner than yours). On a high speed run, there is no way I will be able to keep up with you guys. That said, it sure sounds like a lot of fun!

It's all good 'Turk!!! you should come down and join the fun anyways...To be honest i'm not sure if i could go as fast as the rest of them especially taking curves (due to really bad high speed accident) At any rate, that's why i opted to bring up the rear! Besides it'll be good for me to get used to the car's handling right?

I was playing keep up in the second Stampede so I'm one of the slower ones. nevermind what cato says. no offense cato. sorry about that turk. this keeps up and no one in houston's ever gonna trust us ATX drivers. they'll think we're all driving sleepers and that we're card sharks.

Liv, your comment was not helpful to my situation.

Edit: We must've posted at the same time! I was referring to your comments in two posts before, not the one just above mine.

I am really tempted but man, if you guys open up a lead going over 110 on those long straights and gentle curves, I'll be busting my butt trying to catch up. If I do come, just know that you might have to wait for me a few times.

YoungTurk is a card Shark! He led the pack on all Ragin' Bull Texas Stampedes. Don't believe a word he said above! That old 240sx of his kicks ***! All of the 350Zs and G35s were just trying to keep up with him. Come on John!!!!!
I took a test drive this morning out to BBSP (Brazos Bend State Park) to chart out a route beyond and back. I didn't want to just turn around and drive the same route back. Infinite1 and YoungTurk, the straights between the turns allow pretty high speed driving but you don't want to hit the turns too fast! They are all marked 40-45 mph. I took them between 65-70 and they are a little hairy at that speed. The route beyond takes us on a couple of detours and at places the roads are not in the best shape. The route also takes us thru a couple of small country towns, Fairchilds Village and Pleak Village. I had never been out there before. Ther are some good turns on the way back also. I'm stoked!!!!
