I drove out to BBSP again this morning to explore beyond some more. I took County Road 42 this time. This road takes you thru some really beautiful areas. Lots of tree canopied roads. Saw some deer skampering about. Wound up in Rosharon, then doubled back past BBSP. This little side excursion will add around 20+more miles to our trip. I passed a black & white DPS officer on my way out to BBSP. He didn't scan me with radar or laser, but he was there.
I had my G35 Sedan up to 100 mph between the turns...... This is not a Ragin' Bull Texas Stampede though! I really didn't feel comfortable going that fast and don't expect anyone else coming along to do anything foolish. What about just a spirited drive?

The route is set. The time to meet: 6:45 at Starbucks in Town Center Sugar Land. Take off: 7:00 am. Finish up at Le Peep on Westheimer?
How about a show of hands......Who is gonna be man or woman enough to drive?

Cato, you're quickly becoming a skilled Tourmaster! I hope you're enjoying putting the route together. I really appreciate all the time and effort you are putting in to prepare the route. The longer the better.

By the way, Liv has blackmailed me into coming to Houston. Apparently, he got hold of some pictures from my past and threatened to go public with them if I didn't come. The guy is devious, I tell you. Therefore, I am planning on joining the group, albeit involuntarily . I will probably be driving in from Dallas Friday afternoon to meet up with Liv.

I agree with you: It'll be a spirited drive. We never drive "fast" or "above the speed limit". No, no, that would be wrong. It's just spirited...

Turk,

Right you are. We would never exceed the posted speed limit....That would be breaking the law.

Cato, for those of us coming from out of town, could you be more specific regarding an intersection? Thanks.

By the way, I am sure Liv will be glad we're meeting at a Starbucks. You know how picky he is about where to meet; he's gotta have his coffee
.

I have to be in New Orleans Wednesday through Friday on business. If i get home on time Friday (late afternoon), I will be there. I should have a better idea of timing in a few days.....working with refineries is always uncertain.

Meet at Starbucks at Town Center, Sugar Land at 6:45 or 7:45? I realize that I am an early bird, not everyone else is. Let's hear from those who would make it if we met at 7:45 instead of 6:45. StarBucks at Town Center is located at the intersection of US 59 and Highway 6 South. Exit HW6, turn left under the overpass and then make the first right. That is Sugar Land's Town Center, city hall, shopping etc. StarBucks is right there. You can't miss my Twilight Blue G35 Sedan...

No problem. 7:45 am it is. Or would 8:00 be better?
Tell you what, since I have driven the route the last two mornings past 10:00 am and encountered little traffic, lets officially make it 8:00 am.
We meet at 8:00 am at Starbucks, java up and head out!

I am fine with any time. Of course, I think the earlier the better because it is cooler (no A/C) plus our chances of encountering traffic are greatly reduced. However, if more people are going to show up with a later time, fine by me. I just hope that everyone will show up at the specified time and we can hit the road quickly.
