I'm in for a meet in August. I've tried to make some of the meets before, but work has been very busy for me. I haven't had many free weekends in the last 9 months or so, but things are finally winding down and I would love to go to a Houston area meet. I'll keep checking back, but you can pretty much count me in.

 

yeah count me in anytime durning the week. only catch with me is that i can never make the weekend meets. i make them every now and then, but just let me know. pm me whenever for more detail. thanks for your post

Pretty much every weekend in August is open for me. We should do one during the day and maybe get some barbeque going or something. That would be sweet. Just a suggestion. Also, what happend with those stickers? I remember someone trying to make one..."Houston G Rides" or something.

 

Yeah Mike...the BBQ is an idea right now for the next meet i should post up soon on more ideas.....The rally last time was good too bad you missed....Vision was the one who actually started the decal idea....he's sent that to me so i can find a shop that will make them I've just been too busy with work to get down there...Don't worry though i should have them for the next meet!

 

Right now, me and infinite1 are working and planning .. "HOUSTON G RIDES" 1st official meet. EVERYONE is of course welcome. On that day we will have the decals on hand =)


decals will be made to fit side-back windows. (1 1/2 x 4) or (2 x 4) will be the size, not yet decided.



We've been trying to establish a following like other cities with a loyal G following which have been successful. Many attempts have been made here in Houston, but with anything there has been many challenges.

Having establish "HOUSTON G RIDE" at least a name gives some foundation to grow upon. Name is just a name, unless something is done... and that bring us to...

Having a decal (small and discrete as i know many ppl are oppose to stickers) but having a small side-back window has its benefits and an important role in establishing a successful group. One it allows members to distinguish one another, as many complain seeing other G driver and saying hello and getting mix responses. Having a decal will leave NO DOUBT and will allow members to acknowledge one another. Also decals allow for UNITY among members, which is important. Unity, in that there won't be any COLD UNFRIENDLY atmosphere at any future meets, cause we'll all be apart of a group. Two having a decal, will allow other G who do not or are not yet a member to perhaps think about and want to take part and be apart of HOUSTON G RIDES, decals are a form of advertising. Any organization/business to be successful must advertise and be distinguishable, a role that decals will play. Those are just few reasons for decals and the vital role it plays in trying to establish a successful group here in Houston.

Also, those at the previous rally/meet and/or were interested in being apart of HOUSTON G RIDES. I have taken there information. As a source use to more quickly pass information about upcoming meets. Also in the future, as HOUSTON G RIDES grows.. will establish a website which will have members profiles suchs as mod list, pics, so forth.. any other private information WILL ALWAYS BE KEPT CONFIDENTIAL !! unless otherwise by individual owner consent.


ALSO IMPORTANT:

Can I get some kind of confirmation of ALL THOSE THAT ARE INTERESTED IN BEING APART OF "HOUSTON G RIDES" so we can have a better idea of how many decals we need to make.

I just don't want to come up short on that day...

Thanks for the kind words Vision! I'm working on the decals now...

Yeah everybody that's pretty much the gist of the story with the Houston G Rides....As i've said in the past before to organize by yourself is difficult and i'm glad i met vision (as well as many others ) on this board that have the same drive and motivation to see this through as a joint effort! So thanks to you vision for helping me out as well!

I'm sure many of you will have questions about how the club will work and stuff dues, etc....not to worry we'll answer your questions at the next meet!

By the way i'm not available Aug 6th as I have a company function to attend

 

sound great.... i came up with a logo, was playing around, and was wondering if you guys wanted to see it... i wish i knew about this awhile back, i do this kinda stuff for a living, but even if you dont decide to use it, i would like to get some ideas or suggestions on what you guys think for the "Houston G-Riders" logo... great work infinite and vision...
