Houston G Rides: August Meet Suggestions
I would like to do both drives as well.......i like it in galveston, not much of a drive for the G to get there, but it will be cooler and we could cruz the seawall (pics?) and stop for a drink or something....the shortened andycon route sounds good as well (2 hours or less with lots of stops to chat
).....the weather could dictate our route on the 13th.....if it is wet we could go south....dry twisties here we come!

You need to bring your post count up. I don't know the exact number, but until
your post count reaches like 10, you can't PM or be Pm'd. I tried to PM you the other day and saw that you did not have that option turned on. Keep on posting and see your priv. increased. No, all members can PM, not just Premier Members.......

Go to HOME USER CONTROL PANEL (UCP) and make sure the box is checked next to Private messages.

Thank you, Andy, for sending me a copy of the route.
I love the route and would be willing to drive from Austin for it. I would safely guess that Liv and at least one other person from Austin (Rob in his 300ZX TT) would be willing to drive down for it. I would also be interested in a route that is slightly shorter, perhaps cutting out at I-45 as suggested above (although I would look forward to the opportunity to drive through Sam Houston Nat'l Forest). If it is much shorter e.g. 2 hours or less, I would be reluctant to drive down from Austin. As people who know me well know by now, I enjoy longer runs - I tend to get more out of them in terms of experience and learning. Plus it's more fun!
I have a suggestion for the group. This route is very useful in one particular aspect: People can cut out at various points if they don't want to drive any longer. Why not keep the route as is and continue driving as long as people are willing to drive? Some people may cut out at Brenham, others at Navasota, and others at New Waverly. Some people may come planning to drive for only 2 hours but then change their minds and drive longer. We could still all meet up after the drive for a late lunch or early dinner.
Lets decide soon so that we can make plans. Or delay the run another week.
Thanks.

I was wondering whether I opened myself up to that after I wrote it!
