Got my sedan back from the body shop yesterday! This "kid" ended up doing more than $2,000 damage. The body shop repainted my trunk, so the pre-existing damage is fixed. Yeah! The body shop replaced my HKS muffler with a brand new one. It turns out HKS has stopped making the dual tip sport muffler for our G35 sedans....they had a couple extras in stock and the body shop was able to get one of the remaining ones. The old muffler has some scratches on the tips, other than that, it is still good. I was able to leave with the old muffler in my trunk, so it is for sale. On the way home, my CD player stopped working and now displays CD FO ERROR Damnit! This is the second time this has happened. The first time it was under warranty, now I'm out of warranty What to do now.......replace it with the crappy old Infiniti one or upgrade to a real sound system...

Hey Cato, are you sure that error message is not part of its security feature? Did the body shop ever disconnect your battery cable while working on your car? In my car, my Eclipse CD player has a feature where if the battery cable is disconnected or if anyone attempts to remove the CD player from my car (which means they will have to disconnect it from power from the battery), the CD player will display an error message and make it practically useless to the one who stole it. It becomes operable after I insert a Key CD. Your CD player may have a similar feature. Check it out.

No, this is a "known feature" of this POS CD player.

Andy,

Oh man.....Sorry to hear of your misfortune! That rat bast*rd! As long as he had insurance you should be OK. No matter what happens, both your and his insurance companies will find out about the "incident". I had to tell State Farm (the High Schools Senior's insurace co.) my insurance company's name and policy number during my claim settlement. The thing you need to do now is to take your car to a good body shop. I recommend "Malone's Paint and Body, Inc." These guys do a quality job and I have been using them since 1990. Wayne Thorton is the partner/estimator 281 469-6464 Address is 9203 Sweetbrush, Houston 77064. They are an "approved" body shop by State Farm. There is an Enterprise Rental car company just down the road 1960 from them. I lucked into the M35. Enterprise will pick you up at Malone's. When the work is finished, you can simply leave the rent car at Malone's and they will pick it up. Ask for the M
BTW: I paid Firestone $53 to install the coupe mid-pipe for me. I drove the G to Mississippi over the holiday, 1100 miles.

Andy,

The mid-pipe is awesome! But it does drone a bit on the highway, unless I'm just coasting. Around town it sounds great! I'm afraid my gas mileage is gonna dive because I like to hear the sweet sounds of the mid-pipe + HKS.

Andy,

The damage to your sedan does not look like it definitly has frame damage...to me. It looks like you just need 2 doors and some other "touch up" work..hehe Let's just hope the frame is OK.

hey cato,
I leave the country for a few weeks and your car is hit and your cd player dies it also looks like you had a great bbq rally, sorry I missed that, I have heard a lot about the swinging door but have never been there.

have you bothered to open your ccv yet? mine is still closed and unless we get to the 30's I will probably not bother to open it.
