I was curious about that 55 temperature myself since it seemed relatively high to cause any icing problems so I asked Tony (see below)…..it seems like unless the temperature actually gets to freezing it isn't a problem so I doubt I will ever have to open the ccv here in Houston.

"Hi Max,

I'm sure you won't notice a problem with it either. Its only to prevent ice formation on the butterfly valve. Certaintly don't leave it closed if its freezing cold outside.

Tony"

have you bothered to open your ccv yet? mine is still closed and unless we get to the 30's I will probably not bother to open it.
No way am I going to open the CCV when the temps are above freezing!
Too bad you missed the BBQ run, hope you can make the Jingle Bell Run or the Festivus Run hehe

Tom,
Hablas Espanol? You lucky guy! I have been to Spain on my way back from Italy back in the late 60's. Spain, France and Italy are such great countries. We lived In Italy for a couple of years, then took the last cruise of the USS Constitution back to N.York City where it was decommisioned. Stopped in France (Canns) and Spain. Coolest places in the world!
