No offense, but I'm tired of these meets that have been posted up. Nothing but civics, wrx, scions, 350z, s2000s, and other cars that I don't really care for. Houston seems to be the only place that I find this. Sad that hopping on the other regional forums to find that people can all be open minded about certain things and have an exclusive G35 only meet unlike Houston.

Why is it that noone can set up a G35 only meet, without cry babies out there coming in here complaining that we're singling them out? I mean grow up and act your age. Some people in here really tick me off.

I have nothing against other cars, but I'm sick of seeing them. I would really like to see just a decent G35 only meet, and none of this rice-a-roni-fast-n-furious-car-crew bull**** that I've been seeing at these meets down here. It's sad enough that Houston already sucks as it is, let alone these damn meets that are being posted up in here. Those meets belong in H-I.com where all those ricers belong. Don't bring it up here.

you wanna know why we dont have G only meets. because no one ever ****ing shows up. thats why. theres not a big enough group of G owners in houston who give a **** to come to a meet for just Gs cuz it ends up being too small.

we invite other people and different cars along to our meets, because as car enthusiasts we can admire and respect a nicely put together car such as an evo or a 350Z. we also invite others to come to help boost our numbers in the hopes of attracting more G owners to come out. If its jsut G's showing up then theres like 5 of us, but if theres other cars then on average about 20-30 cars show up.

please grow up and understand that as a car enthusiast its ok to respect other cars. remember we arent cobra or mullet branding camaro owners

i agree with you poptarts. the meet im having is for everyone to come out and enjoy. that means classic cars, muscle cars,import and domestic cars are more than welcome. it would be nice to have a meet with different types of cars and so that everyone can enjoy. like stated above there arent that many G owners in houston that are into fixing theres up and coming to a meet or show.there would only be a handfull

Next time try the Raging Bull Texas Stampede. We had All G's and Z's (all kinds), two 240's (one turbo), a Subie and a Bimmer. (They were scowed at). It was an all G/Z event. A VERY FAST event!

 

there are enough G owners in houston to make a meet, bigger doesn't always mean better, even smaller places than houston can come up with a nice meet. so what if there are just 5 of us meeting up, there's nothing wrong with having a small meet where ppl can just hang out. and when was the last time anyone on here ever attempted to make a G ONLY meet? and so how can you expect to have ppl show up to these G ONLY meets when there hasn't been a thread about one in ages.

these meets are the same as every other meet out there. it's always got to be G's and every other make and model that ever existed. and some of you may not be "cobra or mullet branding camaro owners," but the meets being set up are attracting just that, not other G owners. my point is that there are never any car meets setup for a particular car, in this case Gs. it has nothing to do with being a car enthusiast so dont tell me to "grow up." this is about the meets so your need to insult me isn't necessary.

Daveed by the way, nice meet, thats a perfect example of what i'm talking about. What's so special about an open meet with other cars anyways? They're a dime a dozen all over Houston, it's not like its something new. On the other hand, an exclusive G35 only meet would be something worthwhile. I never said anything about other cars, I've seen em already plenty of times at these other meets. I don't care for them. My interest is only in G35's at the moment, since i am a G enthusiast i would like to meet others who feel the same way as me... and dont say the g35 and 350z are the same, I'm sick and tired of hearing that crap. They're not the same. 350z are around everywhere.

I just guess its people down here. Other regions don't have this problem. I'm tired of these big open meets that attract any old cars. Those meets are usually the rice ones that I'm so sick of. I'm not too fond of the people that attend those types of meets.

since ur bitchin about a G meet. go ahead and set one up. im down to go to just about any meet and any show. thats what i love to do. fix up my car and look at others and get ideas

 

I went to some G35 meet a long while back when I had my s2000. It's ok I suppose, it's a different crowd. But I suppose what icebat is referring to is a meet kind of like how s2ki has it. Nothing but S2K on a fun run or meet etc. It can happen but I don't know how many G35 people will be up for it.

 

I hope everyone understands that a vast amount of the G owners are older people who are not wishing to go out and about.

I've been wanting to place that karting event but, many people in here are not been interested. Some people are interested in meeting up to take a run to Galveston for some brunch and picture taking.

Just my thought.

i kinda see where he's coming from though, there doesn't seem to be that many ppl dedicated like other places. I tried to set up plenty before but gave up after trying so much. But if someone sets one up, I will be down to show up for sure. I think there's plenty of g35 drivers from the local area. I can count up more than 20+ just in this thread alone. I'm sure we don't lack in number. It's just people don't seem to dedicate themselves to show up. I've met a lot of cool g35 owners from the past. Would be great to meet up again some day. I hope. If anyone wants to meet up one day, let me know. I'm in the SW and wouldn't mind hanging out on the weekends to do a car shoot, or whatever.

But yeah I understand what you mean. Sometimes I just wanna drive out of state to attend one of the meets from the other regional forums since it looks like a good turnout. Especially the Northeast meets look fun!

A Day meet... cruising, bbq at the park, meeting new people, photoshoot.. would be cool if this ever will happen down here with the G owners.

 

Well there is that Galveston run coming up, should be more gs out than normal but I think its open to everyone.

P.s. this is OT, but I was at SGP thursday and they had just installed a APS ST on a new 350z. Man talk about temptations, but damn that turbo sits lowwww....Without that shield I would never put one on. Does anyone have a FI G they wanna take me for a spin in?? Ill pay for 3 gallons of Shell V-power!
