Re: Hurricane preparation!

Jeff,

Tomorrow morning at Home Depot on the corner of Mitchell Hammock and 426 there will be generators for sale at 6am SHARP (when Home Depot opens). I'll be there at 5:30am with the Sequoia. I've already bought the plywood for the windows, but still need PLYLOX or tapcons and washers... Call me on my cell around 5am-ish if you want to hook up real early.

FYI, Home Depot told me that they are expecting 1-2 semi loads of generators sometime after they close at 9pm tonight. Last night 2 semi trucks showed up at 10:55pm. This morning, before 6:30am, (2) enitre semi truck loads of generators were completely sold out. Don't sleep in if you want a generator or lumber supplies. And DON'T BE LATE, I need to get the Sequoia back to the house for my wife to drive it to work around 7am. The last time my wife drove my G, she curbed the front bumper, BITCH!!! The above statements are only my take on the issue. If you disagree with anything I typed then you are 100% right!

I dont teach... Im a Network Tech in the Law School. What do you go for? How far is your house from campus, you might want to leave it in the parking garage.

Don't need that but a police escort out of Orlando would be sweet, know anybody thats available.

Does anybody know the status of generators in the south Florida area? There are none to be found that I know of in CF.

Re: Hurricane preparation!

My car is in the airport garage right now. Glad I didn't leave in long term parking.

Check the map out up there, draw a line straight down from FL, I'm in Colombia.

Wonder when the airport will reopen next week?

Colombian food sucks, but beer the is cheap.

Re: Hurricane preparation!

Hmmm....don't think the higher up's would approve that, but, if I go AWOL, I'll be glad to...LOL!

On a different note, goodluck to everyone out there...try not to fight at the gas pumps, home depot, publix, etc...we've been getting SLAMMED with physical fights because people just can't get along in a time of crisis....

Re: Hurricane preparation!

I wish I was in Brookesville right now; LOL! By the time Frances gets over there, it will probably have weakened substantially. Oh well, I should be pretty safe in my office building, should I decide to bunker down there. Good luck everyone!

Re: Hurricane preparation!

By the way, I managed to find a decent spot in a parking garage for my baby, so hopefully she'll be okay (knock on wood)!

Just got our power back about 2 hours ago....lost it yesterday around noon.... sucks!

Alot of downed trees and powerlines across Sunrise. Other than that, nothing major that I saw...
