Re: Orlando area tinters

OK I found the info on my tint. If you don't mind the drive to Palm Bay (just south of Melbourne) I would recommend Sunstoppers. I went with FormulaOne-Ultimate Series lifetime warranty. The tint is machine cut according to manufaturers dimensions. Very clean job, it ran about $190.

Anyone know anything about Huper Optic tint? Is it a film like Llumar and Formula One?

Don't know, but Huper and Madico seem to be the best stuff going, according to these and other boards.

Re: Orlando area tinters

I read some forums that talked kind of in depth on it...

A couple installers were saying it is really thick...maybe 3mm (that sound right?) and therefore very hard to shrink. This one installer said he'd been installing it for about 2months but everytime he was gettin some ghosting lines because of the pressure he put on as he was tryin to shrink it. They mentioned another method of install that didnt involve shrinking but i dont remember what it was called...
Anyways,
its a lighter color than normal tint and only available in 30% and 40% (they make a 20% for overseas). The reflection and heat resistance is at least equal to almost all 20% tints that are available and better in some cases, therefore you would be legal but still block all the light and heat.
But, of the prices people were posting the cheapest I saw was like $280 and some up to $400, with install.

If you go with it, i'd make sure the installer has been using Huper for at least a couple years.

Sunbusters of Melbourne, FL
G35 - LLumar Charcoal, 35% sides, 20% back, lifetime warranty.

I've done six vehicles with them and no problems whatsoever. The oldest one was my 91 Sentra shown above that I got tinted in Apr 96 (when I bought it used) and it still looked new the day I sold it. I paid about $200 for the window tinting on the G35 Coupe. DP G35 profile pics.

I think there should be a rule that if you FI your car, you must learn how to spell and have a degree in college of some sort...

I just got my tint done today by Precision Tinting in Longwood, FL, (I'm in Orlando, near UCF). I called around to about 15 places on the phone and they were one of the few who sounded reputable and professional. They tinted me with 3M tint, 16% all around, and it looks killer. One piece rear window and the 3M is non-metalic so it wont mess with radio reception. I really like the job done, even tinted behind 3rd High mount brake light, real quality work. EXCEPT I noticed they managed to nick a my rear door panels a couple times with the razor...I have yet to contact them to see how to handle it. At any rate, I'm still pretty pleased with the job. The guys name is Damien. Will post pics soon.

Glad you had a good experience with the Tint and Orlando Infiniti!

All of these threads. . . back from the dead. I am having flashbacks of pre-FloridaG35Club days.

First time I have posted in the SE forum in about six months.

http://www.60minuteauto.com/ They have 3M and I was told Sunbusters had them too.

I advice you to go to

10658 South Federal Highway
Port St. Lucie, FL 34952
772-335-5552

NOT to the west palm one. The guy in charge there is moody, and he opens later than the one in St Lucie.

I was told by Infiniti of Melbourne that Sunbusters carry 3M too, so that might be an alternative.

I'd go for 3M not Llumar. I had Llumar on my 04, and when compared with my 3M... Llumar loses big time. 3M are black really black. Llumar looks brownish. Thats just my opinion thought. I have owned both, and 3M is the clear winner.

Oh yeah, a bunch of us. We actually are so hard core that we started a club. (Not a ricer club, more of a "responsible adult/have a good time" club.) Of the 40-50 CFL members I'm not sure if one of us is still "stock" and there are S/C's, NA, Nitrous, and a few aspiring TT's in the mix.

We even have our own forum here on G35driver.com---->check us out. We're more commonly known as the Central Florida Chapter of the Florida G35 Club.

Stop in and check us out.
