next question of interest is:

i now know GA does smog checks. not here in SC. and i have a built motor with long tubes tuned with osiris. any pointers on passing? lol i saw where one guy welded a cat to his factory ypipe but will that be enough? my plans would be to do that and have my stock exhaust bolted up with the long tubes.

Don't quote me on this but you should be fine with the Osiris tune.

the only thing im worried about is the readiness signals.....i have the rear o2 sensors cut off so i might have to have them turned back on if/when i get the inspection. imma ride out my sc tag/license as long as it will take me. lol

Hah yeah that'd be a good idea. As long as you pass emissions then you should be in the clear. It's not something that's too heavily enforced around here. Nothing like Cali

Do you know anyone with an address with SC or FL that will allow you to maintain residency? IF you don't think you would pass, a less scrupulous person than myself might suggest not registering the car there. I wouldn't suggest it of course, but that's because I'm awesome and love the law

yes, new job waiting. its not that i want to register my car there, but when/if i have no choice to. as long as nobody ever says anything to me about doing so, im not doing so. lol but i still have my home here in SC so idk how all that will go.

i dont see why i wouldnt pass tho...? built high comp NA motor with long tubes and straight through single exhaust?

When you get there just find a local shop that does the state inspections and tell them you've got some work done and don't know if it'll pass. Since you're not immediately due to register/inspect ask if they'll give you a diagnostic inspection/emissions to see where you stand. Might cost you $20-$30ish but easy enough to check it out.
