Studman,

Without a SAFC-II or GReddy E-Manage you ain't tunin' nothin'.

My suggestion is to install the exhaust and show up at the track. Wait for our CFL Dyno Day and Dyno with the rest of the guys. $50 for 3 pulls with wideband and a good time with a bunch of other G35's is the way to go IMO.

It's not meant to be. We didn't get to run even though the weather held out. I had an aweful day which started with the traffic going to Lokey coming home was even worse. The wife broke down in Orlando we waited 2 hrs. for a tow truck, etc...

True. That's why I took the E-Manage, injector, ignition, and RPM extraction out of my old Max and installed it in the G.

My suggestion is to install the exhaust and show up at the track.
Friday night and Saturday it was attempted. The 03-04 Borla doesn't work for the 05 Sedan. There are 3 problems with it that make it not work. The front Y pipe hits the transmission brace on the passenger's side. The rear resonator pipe on the passenger's side rubs against the sway bar. And the far rear hanger at the muffler tips is 90 degrees off of where it should be. Infiniti definitely made some exhaust changes in the 05. I've took pictures of the problems to send to Borla, as well as sold the exhaust to another FGC member who has an 04.5. It'll fit his without any problems, but without hacking the whole thing up, it won't work on the 05. So I'm back to stock exhaust for now. I'm planning to call Borla to see what they say about an ETA for an 05+ kit.

Wait for our CFL Dyno Day and Dyno with the rest of the guys. $50 for 3 pulls with wideband and a good time with a bunch of other G35's is the way to go IMO.
That's a good price, but I'm in with the owners at the shop where I tune. Plus, I needed more than 3 pulls to tune it. And since I'm the tuner, the price that I pay isn't the published price.

Another thing to note is that I extracted 7 WHP and 4 ft/lbs of TQ up top using the E-Manage. So those people who say that tuning a NA engine won't do anything, they are wrong. Now granted, the cost of 1 HP vs. x dollars is normally too high, but in my case, the cost had already been paid 3 years ago when I installed the E-Manage in my Max.

Oh, and if any of the FGC members know how to get the E-Manage to read the crank position sensor (or even the cam sensor) so I can advance the timing, let me know.

I'm gonna try again for the track on this Friday, pending the weather.

i know which wrie it is!!!! it is the brown wire in pin 13 of your ecu harness. be carefull though cause there are a couple brown wires in there. in pins 4 and 6. i think there is another one too, but not sure of its location. the CPS wire is in the middle of the harness and is completely brown, the other ones have a stripe of another color on it. pin 4 and 6 and at the ends. will you be at the meet on sat in orlando? i can show you then if you want? or are you in the tampa area? if you want i can prolly send you the service manual section that has the ecu wires listed out and defined. hit me up on AIM.

I've got the AutoSport Wiring Harness, so I know which wire to tap from the ECU, I just need to browse over to the 350Z forums and figure out if/how they got the E-Manage to read that signal. There's not a wire on my E-Manage that is for the CPS.

Also, I almost forgot that the TPS isn't working with the E-Manage. I know that Greddy had the same problem, so hopefully I can find the answer on the 350Z boards as well.
