Auto Explosion in Gardena
pics as promised....
here are some pics as promised. i actually modified the bumper (with a regular ol' dremel, some sand paper, and some filler) to fit better. the fit wasn't so tight anymore either, so they didn't have to screw up the paint to wedge it up against the lights. it's apparent to me the shop didn't put too much time trying to make it fit, which i was pretty disappointed with, along with the fact that they kept telling me it was SO hard to match.
hell, they didn't even install the sidemarkers very well (yes, there was double sided tape there to make it stick to the bumper, which i had removed and took the time to make the lights fit snugly, all but 15 minutes). it's even like they were trying to make me feel bad that they had to paint it a second time. oh well....
see top posts for before pics!
this side turned out pretty well imho (as far as giving it a better fit)

the gap to fix (hood line, next to the grill) was pretty hard on this side...hell, none of the other "shops" did any better...

sideskirts...notice how they are lighter where the skirts meet the rest of the body...it's hard to tell here, but much easier in person...

hope this helps all of you who are in the decision making process...if i keep thinking about it, it will just make me angry

i think the bumper came out pretty much dead on. if you trace the fenderline, just above the wheels, all the way down to the skirts, you could see a transition between dark to light....which is kinda weird...
yea it is nearly impossible to get 100%.. mine is like that too.. and it really depends on the time of day too like during the day my skirts look to look very good but when very late in the evening you can tell even more that they are slightly off.. kind of annoying but something u just gotta live with i guess.. but i'd be happy if my car turned out like yours too
yeah, i guess you can't get it 100% unless you blend in the paint of the body kit with the body of the car. but like you said, it's annoying...
i was disappointed at what they did to get the bumper to fit. it's like they didn't even try very hard. i mean, they say they did "a lot of work" to get it to fit, but hell, i did some work to make it fit.

I had a great experience with Auto Explosion....I would take my car there again anytime!! They did a lot of work to my car and it was all dead on!
