The CAI is legal as long as you have the smog stuff hooked up, the hoses are black, and it's CARB approved (I'm not mechanically inclined so I don't know the technical terms).

Dude, I have the same AEM CAI I think. It's CARB approved. I don't get it?
It should have the CARB sticker on there too.

i just went to get my smog check.. i passed the test but i failed the visual part of it becasue i dont have a carb sticker..i called aem and they told me i need my reciept but the problem is that i lost mine...if anyone has a reciept for aem intake..that would help too.. and if anyone knows someone who would sign off my tint and no front plate ticket that would be greatttt

i have a inejn cai....its not carb approved yet...but it should be pretty soon...so im guessing you might want to call in just incase you didnt get a carb sticker... should be carb legal and the cops dont got **** on that....the intake only cant make that much noise....so i guess the cop just wanted to give you a ticket for quota at the end of the month
