its easy........ remove the wheel, caliper and rotor and tap it out..... then put the new one in, put your lug nut on and tighten the lug nut, this will pull the stud in flush, then remove the lug nut and put the rotor, caliper and wheel back on, takes 20-30 mins tops....

sorry, dumb question, but...when sliding the caliper off...does that require me to c-clamp the pads in place or place a block or something in there so the pistons dont come out? i have brembo's by the way. is there some procedure on sliding the calipers out?

I'm surprised the dealership is only charging $40.

Just because it's one stud doesn't mean it's easy.
It still requires some work to just get to the point where the bolts are accessible.

It doesn't take that much work. The guy at "Tires Buy Mark" in Canoga Park did it in ten minutes after they stripped one of my bolts.

i saw them today...it seemed SOOO easy, in and out in literally 15 minutes. lifted the caliper, pulled the rotor, used and mallet and pushed out hte bolt, then put new one in and torqued it and put it back together....I ended up going to 3 corner...tustin infiniti didnt have time for me today
