My G is back in the SHOP AGAIN!!!!!! AHHHH!!!!!!!!!

=( The car is kinda widebody the few people that seen it and the teaser pictures from months ago.. the rear fenders were re-welded and the car runs 325/25/20 PS2s on the back.. Anyways the shop that decided to take on the job started in AUG!!! They took 2 months to fabricate everything as well as for me to get all the pieces together then the paint started.. the paint is very eh.. different from what imports usually do. The car is generally black but we made designs and fades using white pearls and then we shot the whole car with blue transparent paint.. those of you that paint can picture the cost of material alone aside from the labor for the hand drawn designs and fabricating.. so now we're in january for completion.. after everythings done the cars been in & out of the shop for wet sanding and re-clearing.. and on feb the shop BURNED THE PAINT on the quarter panel on this month long paint job =(.. so re-do the whole car.. that means getting the guy that does ghosting back out, guy that does pin striping back out, more paint and materials, etc.. so anyways this past saturday was suppose to be the completion date and just ONE MORE step for wetsanding and clear coat.. i've left the car in the shop instead of driving it back and fourth (50 miles away from my house and +90 from my work). when they repainted the car they didnt primer it! just paint over it so now after all the wetsanding and clearing we see the OLD graphics on the car as a shadow in the back!! so 1 more month from now =(

I'm going to cry.. also sent my headlights to ivoryGT to do the quad project.. actually its 6 projectors with ALOT of goodies.. leds, blinky lights, and shiny stuff - the whole nine yards was DAMAGED from shipping via fed-ex >=O.. not to mention i have about $4,000 worth of crap (EVO control arms, VRT strut, Stillen Sway, STillen strut, stillen control arms, 20" DPEs are back off the car, etc..) sitting in my garage..

Lol so the the shop working on the car has repainted this car three times and spent about +10,000 shop price for material and labor

k I'm done venting -__-

EDIT: scott if you read this.. i'm still not FIed yet lol this thing is turning into a nightmare lol.. anyone that touches this car automatically gains a headach.. but i'll def be giving you guys at vrt a call

Damn Eric, that is a lot of time and money. Keep in mind though there will always be little problems here and there when working on such a unique project. I remember when I changed the color on one of my cars and the paint ended up bublbing on one side so they had to paint the car over again. BTW if you are trying to get rid of any of that stuff in your garage keep us posted . Good luck!

Sucks about the lights. I feel bad for you and Ivory. Those lights are a lot of work!

scott's not with VRT anymore, he ventured out and opened his own shop (Relentless Autosports), but still building the fastest daily driven Z's and G's with Mark.

Sorry to hear about all the headache that you're being put through with the car Eric, i bet it'll be worth it in the end though.
