Just a heads-up for So. Cal. peeps. CHP is now using LIDAR. I received a citation from an officer who was camping out on in the first underpass on Hwy. 133 just east of the 5 Fwy. I was on the high-banked transition road from 5 South to 133 East and he claimed he hit me with LIDAR doing 86 in a 65. Since it's CHP, I would assume the technology is in use throughout the state. He must have to be outside the vehicle to "paint" your car. Was funny to see him running around his cruiser to chase down the violent felon.

 

Dam man, this happen today or last night?

 

Ohhh.... I also saw a CHP officer camping out on the 91 eastbound fwy... between Lakeview and Imperial exits. He was also standing outside his cruiser pointing, I guess, the LIDAR at vehicles. It was a good hiding spot too....I'm sure those of you that know the 91 eastbound well, right after the Lakeview exit, the freeway curves to the right....you can't even see him till after you make the curve.

Watch out!

i don't know what kind of radar the CHP officer got me on Friday afternoon, but I was going 85 on a 65 as well.

 

Last week I went to SB and there was a cop user Laser (My 8500 picked it up) thankfully I wasn't going that fast. Then today a cop on Imperial (in between Yorba Linda Blvd and Orangethorpe) was camping out with a radar but I slowed down thankfully again to my 8500...I love it, but now that they are user Lidar I better slow down on the freeway . Sorry to hear kurtis
