CHP in O.C. using LIDAR now
Gosh that sucks! Sorry to hear Kurtis.
Did you have a laser detector? If so, I assume it didn't go off, which I wouldn't think a shocker of the century. The lack of a reliable advanced warning makes LIDAR a royal bitch to content with. I dread the day LIDARs are out in full force everywhere.

Yup, laser detector in itself is an oxymoron. The only way to fend off laser detection (by the cop) is active laser scrambling, which is illegal. Passive scrambling is legal, but that goes right back to how good the detection mechanism is, which we've already establish as bunk.

I like my laser detector for locating Infiniti FXs equipped with laser adaptive cruise control and Chevy Trailblasers with LED brake lights.

Same officer pulled me over said he got me at 88, in the same spot off of the 5 going onto the 133. It was hilarious watching him run around his car to pull me over; but it would have been funier if he pulled somebody else over. By the way how much was your ticket for?

It was a good hiding spot too....I'm sure those of you that know the 91 eastbound well, right after the Lakeview exit, the freeway curves to the right....you can't even see him till after you make the curve.
