I had a friend who showed me the ticket she got and it had pictures of her entering the intersection, in middle taking the red light and once she was on the otherside. (in color)Her problem was it was a no turn on red corner after 6pm.

Not cool but I have heard of people fighting these and getting out of them. i was involved in one where the car in front of me was driving slow and the light turned yellow on me lucky i gased it and got out of there on time.

These lights suck......I speed thru them as they are all over Riverside, don't need a 500.00 ticket like in my friends case.......that included classes.

I had one snap a picture of me yesterday...I did not run the light. But my bumper was in the crosswalk once I had come to a complete stop. Is this going to result in a ticket? And if so, what is the violation?

And just assuming I do get the ticket, it was very late at night(like after 2:30 am). There were no pedestrians anywhere. Would this be a legitimate defense to a ticket here?

In Washington state, the following applies to these infractions:

-State law mandates the cameras photograph only the vehicle and the license plate. No images of the driver or passengers will be caught on film.

-The law also treats violations caught by the cameras as parking violations, and they are not reflected on a driver's record.

in cases like that, they will review the video and since you werent in the middle of the intersection when the light turned red, you should be fine. i highly doubt you would even receive a ticket.

Another good resource is: www.highwayrobbery.net . They give you all the ins and outs of red light cameras and tips to fight tickets. If you weren't across the line, then you're probably toast unless you use one of the other methods listed on the site (eg red light camera intersections must have signs posted to inform (warn) you).

very useful website. I am going back there to time the yellow light interval. Ive taken classes on traffic engineering at school, so I had a little idea.. and it was my original idea on fightin the ticket. Now I have alot of new ideas on this.

Thanks g35 owner!
