Furniture Stores?

Hey everyone,

I'm moving in about 2 weeks and will be needing some furniture (dining set, coffee table and couch)

Does anyone have recommendations or hook ups to furniture stores that are reasonably priced and have great quality? I've been looking at the major retail stores, but I'm sure there are smaller stores out there that I don't know about.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

North K-town/Hollywood area. Right on Western boulevard, just go north past Beverly Blvd and you'll see tons of them on the left and right. Haggling is a must here!

Also depending on your budget, check out Venice blvd in Culver City between La Cienega and Overland. Lots of stores on that strip, very nice and quality stuff, but it does come with a price tag.

FYI, I bought a beautiful leather sofa, love seat, chair and ottoman, plus a queen bed with leather headboard and leather sides, plus mattress, plus box, plus delivery from Glendale to San Diego for about $4k. Really was a good deal. That was at Levitz on Memorial day weekend. Good stuff during the big weekend sales. The leather sofa combinations was $2k on its own.

I like the stuff at Plummers http://www.plummersfurniture.com/ and I really like the stuff at Design Within Reach http://www.dwr.com/, but I can't afford it at DWR.

Not knowing your budget and your taste is hard. So I could also recommend Craigslist, they have some good stuff there too.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I really like the modern looking stuff. I'm probably going to go with an espresso colored wood and beige or tan for the couch and seat cushions. Ideally, I'm looking to spend under $2000 for those 3 things. Thanks again

There was a store a few years bak in Culver City called Designer Bloopers. they carried custom made furniture with a major price cut. I just don't know if it's still there..check the phone book.

I'm still going to be in Irvine, just a different part. I agree that brown is the new black. I love espresso/chocolate colored furniture.

^^^good looking stuff that won't last. that's my problem with Ikea. I like real wood, not particle board.
