Need to install my mesh

Hey guys I just got a nismo bumper but the body shop didnt put the mesh on.. Anyway I dont have the patience to take off the bumper and put the mesh in.. It didnt come with anything to support the mesh so I have no clue on what to do.. I am in the Northridge area. If anyone is close by that can do this for me I would greatly appreciate it.

you screw the mesh onto the nismo bumper w/ self tapping screws. there should be small indentations on the back of the two inlets.

i would not suggest a glue gun. bumpers get hot sitting in the sun. it won't hold very long.

Will install immediately and take pix tonight.

Got a quick q on the side markers.

What is the best way to secure them in the bumper. Cuz there is no way you can cut perfect holes out so that they sit there firmly.

I was thinking like a double side tape or something.

side marker just cut a small hole and work your way from there.. it would've been easyer to drill those before painting. but you'll be fine.. double side tape works as well.. you can also pull the clips from the corners out further if you drill too big of a hole..

Installing.. make sure the left and right fenders line up.. once you get that down rest is down hill.. dont forget to close to the hood to check for gaps as well

Unless the bumper gets to 380 deg. F, it will be fine.

that hot glue gets really weak, even when it's warm.

Do I smell a bet? hmm..how hot does a plastic bumper get in the sun? I am guessing no more than 250 degrees.

hot enough that i wouldn't wanna stick my tongue on it.

i didn't say anything about how hot the bumper gets. i'm just saying that the heat will weaken the glue.

trust me. nothing speaks louder than experience itself (i've been in this exact situation before).

nismo bumper + epoxy + customautomesh = rock flying at the mesh while on the freeway and knocking it out.

didn't wanna take it the bumper off, so i thoroughly cleaned the area...then tried hot glue.

then it baked in the sun and the glue ran a little (no it did not run from after i just glued it, i made sure of that).

then i took it to anh and re re-epoxy'd it for me.

no troubles thereafter.

should have used self tapping screws tho.
