Any Reputable G35 iPod Integration Installers in the LA/SFV area?

I'm tired of changing CD's & MP3's, and want to put the iPod that has been collecting dust for good use.

Is there any reputable and experienced iPod installers for the G35 around the L.A/San Fernanado Valley?

I'm paranoid of being someone's experiment; therefore, i wan't an installer that is experienced in installing them in the G35.

I have a 2006 G35 Coupe w/ premium package, no Nav, no Sat.

Thanks all! I appreciate any help.

Well, the DIY I saw looked all technical and required taking off part of the console.

Either way, I don't have time for a DIY right now with school and work.

By the way, what kit did you get? The factory Nissan Integration kit?

You should be pre-wired for SAT. Easy to check by pulling the trunk liner.

Factory Integration kit takes less than an hour to do yourself. Plug and play.

If it's plug and play, the center console shouldn't be that hard to take off Henry. I've done it, but piece of advice, you might want to have a few cloths near you cuz you're gonna need em when you put the HU to rest on the center console. You'll see what I'm talking about if you decide to do this.

By the way, I haven't seen Jimmy post on Driver anymore, but he installed my DVD stuff on my car about 2 years ago. And since the iPod uses the same A/V inputs as the DVD player, it took like 2 minutes to install the iPod myself.

I can show you the units that you'll be needing the next time I see you.

Interesting. Can I be pre-wired if I have no SAT (Sirius/XM) radio? I always thought that I had to have it in order for it to be pre-wired.

Where did you guys get the kit from and what kit is it? I've seen about 2 or 3 different kits: im looking for the most compatible one which seems to be the Nissan Factory intregration kit.

hhmmm, the modules I have on mine wont necessarily fit on yours, since for one, I have the Nav2TV2go, which allowed me to view the videos from my iPod or DVD player. but you dont have Navi do you?

No nav, no satellite...

Just premium if that does anything. I'm guessing I'll have to buy the additional wiring which I believe runs for around $50?

Thanks for all your help all!

The Nissan Factory Integration kit plugs into the trunk. That's where the SAT receiver sits. It's on the driver's side under the carpeting and the plasting lining. Really, the hardest part is pulling out your trunk. The only thing about the Factory kit is that you leave the iPod in the trunk... but that's fine since the iPod doesn't display track titles or anything and you can control everything through the factory headunit and the steering controls.

yeah i got the Nissan factory integration kit(just hasn't come in yet), and no you dont need to buy that extra wiring, that's only if you HAVE satellite, there's a difference. you're prewired, but don't HAVE it, just like me, so don't get that extra wire. and to Day177107 i thought for those that didn't have satellite that the length of the wire that connects to the ipod was enough to reach the center console from the trunk(correct me if i'm wrong though)

I've read that some people were able to pull it all the way through the back seat and get it up into the center console... but again... what's the point? You can't control anything on the iPod itself while connected. I just leave mine in the car and only take it out when i upload new songs to it. I guess the only other reason why it would be more convenient in the center console is if you're the type that takes their iPod everywhere with them, so in that case you won't need to go into the trunk as often. For me, the iPod is just a way for me to listen to my music from the car and not as a "walkman" of sorts.

Sorry... forgot to answer your question: You can get the kit at any Nissan/Infiniti Dealership.

I think the part numbers you need are in this post: https://g35driver.com/forums/showpos...0&postcount=68

Without SAT radio:
999U7-VR002 - $159.99
999U7-VS000 - $25.00

With SAT radio:
999U7-VR002 - $159.99
999U7-VS000 - $25.00
999U7-VS001 - $25.00
VR002 is the actual iPod module.
VS000 is the harness that goes into where the SAT radio receiver would plug into if you had it. I don't have SAT so for those of you with SAT, i think VS001 is the connector to connect into the SAT Receiver.

Also to give credit to jtesensky, here's a link to where he's selling them: http://www.g35parts.com/9083/osc/pro...roducts_id=521
