Our guys on this forum will probably have more info about state refs than I would. lol What other mods do you have besides the exhaust? FI, intake, etc? I would try to remove as much as possible prior to the test.

Costs...I've only heard from officers that the owner pays for everything. Up to $2500. Does anybody with experience know the cost?

But of course I have a G. No mods, just tint. I'm 27. lol All the cops that have seen the G envy it.

I just have an intake, a motordyne spacer, the hks exhaust, lowered, ts front, rims....

$2500 just fr the test? I thought just test it if it is smog legal and db test..

Alright way to bring up an old thread but I finally got an update, and just curious if others got what I got comming....

So I just got off the phone with some lady at the offices of pasadena court, and she said, regardless of passing smog or not(the emissions test) I have to pay $391.00 just for having unusual noise, and the only way to lower it or scratch it is up to the judges discreation.

I got the G tested at a local smog place like couple weeks ago with the nismo intake, motordyne spacer 1/2 inch, and the hks exhaust; and it passed with flying colors so I guess my question is...

- Think the judge will be lenient if I do pass the emissions test with proof of how much contaminates come out of my car. Obviously the numbers would be low (hopefully).
- Should bring in papers saying the HKS is legal (which I have to find on Gdriver or some where again). Even if the decibel reading is lower than 95.
- Should I go in there alone, or should I bring my mother and give the judge an impression that I'm a good mamas boy. I'm 21 and I can pass as 17 probably.
- Worst comes to Worse, the judge says no, and I have to pay the $391.00, how should I ask to lower it?
