gawd damn some cops.

Alright... how should I start... some how whenever I rant, it's always on driver. Here goes.

I just got off school in L.A then drove to pasadena on the 110 to go to the art store to get some supplies. Then I'm driving down del mar towards sg blvd. I see this cop laser me, but I didn't care because I was going speed limit. But then I realize He's behind me, and I'm like er okay... He lights me up and pulls me over. He goes, nice car, could you pop the hood for me? I'm like yea sure. He looks and looks, He's like alright everythings fine. Then he goes, that exhaust I noticed is modified... I go yea but it's legal and I just forgot my papers. He goes well you can go have it tested, I'm like alright. The dude writes me up off I go. Oh btw He also showed me some dirty *** print out of what they should look for when pulling over cars. It was a picture of a honda motor, I laughed and went this is a honda... he goes I know just wanted to show you. The cop was chill and nice but damn what a douche still.

So I guess my question is, when should I make an appointment? Are there certain days thats better to go than others?

Do I have to bring anything besides car papers etc.

BTW I have the HKS and I know someone else had it tested and if I remember correctly they passed. I should search after this post lol.

Also I don't have my silencers, I don't even know if we do, but I think we do... any other things I should know? Like what happens after etc, and crap. Does anyone know anyone that could help me out?

After 3 years of having this damn exhaust, I finally get a ticket... this sucks. btw I was in sixth going 35mph - 40mph.

Thanks guys!

I had to ref my ITR one time. Ref told me they don't give a damn about anything past the CAT.

If you are going to ge the DB test, that is different, not sure about that one.

dB might be a problem.

If you're running stock cats, sniff test will be no problem.

Man you shouldn't be trippen at all, just go handle it, and if you dont pass, pay! Then live on enjoying your hks If you got the hi-power, I can see why he pulled you over, those carbon ti tips can **** off cops easily. I am more worried than you tho eh, i got a supercharger, i wonder what happens if i get pulled over and he asks me pop my hood, holy crap :knocking on wood:. But yeah i can see your point of view of being mad, its ridiculous, exhaust tickets? WTF man

I feel sorry for you guys in Cali. Here in Louisiana, I pretty much put whatever I want on my car and not have any hassles(except not to tint too dark in some small areas of the city). I'd be pretty pissed for if every mod I did,I'd get a ticket, Its just makes modding more expensive for yall. good luck with everything bro

Yeah, there's a decible limit for cars in Cali. Funny though, when my car idles, you couldn't tell that I've got a CAI, high flow plenum, headers, test pipes and a Stillen dual exhaust. All I know is I'd have to turn the car off quick if I got pulled over. When it's idling, my car smells illegal.

Later,

Ray

Why didn't you carry a copy of the exhaust certificate in the glove or something? I know a couple of Pasadena cops...what's the officer's name?
