ill tell u guys exactly why the lakers will come out on top in this series. game one obviously doesnt count in what im saying because it is past and we won =D
now.
1.parker vs fisher - parker has a slight advantage over fisher, but not by much. Fisher is a great deffender and great shooter. but u cannot stop parker so i give the spurs an edge over that.
2. bowen/ginobli vs kobe - this is a no brainer. on offense, theres really nobody that can stop kobe from getting anywhere he wants to on the floor wether it be scoring or facilitating. also on the deffensive end, to gaurd bowen u really just have to stay buy the corner three and defend. and with ginobli u just take away his left which we did most of game 1.
3. duncan vs turiaf/gasol - at first i though it would be even as far as scoring and passing goes between these two. But i forgot how good of a player duncan was. I dont see a problem in going single coverage for tim duncan with gasol or turiaf mainly for the reason that if duncan scores 30 or so, big deal. as long as we shut down the other players which will continue doing. Phil jackson doesnt like to double and i doubt hes going to start now.
4. odom vs the rest of the spurs - you really have no one to gaurd odom, he can easily beat alberto off the dribble, and post up ginobli any day of the week. I expect for odom to be the x factor in this series for the lakers.
5. lakers bench vs spurs bench - not sure if ur counting ginobli as a bench player anymore since pop is starting him now, but the lakers bench scored 73 points at one point during a regular season game. they have continued to step up during the playoffs and they will continue. This is a huge factor because like every team, THE STARS need rest, and when our stars go to rest, our bench does a good job. expect this to get even more deep considering ariza is 100% cleared and is practicing with the lakers as we speak!
just my .02 on this. and yes i am a laker fan and those might be biased views, but they sure are facts.
so is this....PHIL JACKSON is 40-0 when winning the 1st game in the playoffs....tee hee
no more ghey jokes u douche.
