Question Need some advice

Hey guys! I need a little advice and figured I'd go to the experts to get it.

I have an 04 G35 and had always gone to Costa Mesa for my maintanence. Sounds like most people didn't have good experiences with them but I guess I was lucky in the beginning. I had a girl in the service department that always took great care of me (coupons, discounts, etc). I should have known something was up at my last oil change when she was gone and no one would tell me where she was. Then a week later I get a letter from Infiniti that they are no longer an authorized dealer.

Anyway, now I'm at a loss as to where to take my car for the routine stuff. I live in East Long Beach, about 5 minutes from Cerritos Infiniti but refuse to go there. They tried the old 'bait & switch' when I was looking to buy my car. I didn't appreciate being told they had what I wanted only to get there and be told it had 'just been purchased 5 minutes ago' but they had this other car they could slide me into. I figure they'd really try to take advantage of me in the service depeartment. Being that I grew up with a father who worked in motorsports, nothing annoys me quicker than someone figuring because I'm a girl, I'm an idiot they can take advantage of.

Any suggestions on where to take it? I actually bought it in Torrance but had issues with their service department being really slow. Of course, that was 4 years ago so maybe things have changed.

Thanks. I appreciate the help.

^I have always avoided the dealer unless there is warranty work that needs to be done on my car for FREE. If u are concerned about maintenance we have plenty of sponsors here, that have shops that will do maintenance work on ur car for hundreds of dollars less than the dealer and at the same time use better fluids and take much better care of the car while its in their hands.

Remember most dealerships are called stealerships because if they sense that u are weak they will take advantage of u in any way they can.

Hey welcome to the forum!

I had the same buying experience from Cerritos Infiniti. Whatever it takes to get you down there, which is why I purchased my car from Montclair. They're service department, however, is decent. April is one of the four service advisers at Cerritos and most, if not all of us, are happy with her. I wait and the typical turnaround time including a wash is a little over an hour. I believe their oil change price is around $45 now, but they have drinks and pastries to make you feel better. Other services like the 30k is wayyy overpriced and you're better off going to West Covina Nissan for $299.

Hope this info helps!

You can come to us, but we're really far for you

Plenty of members will vouch for us

And yes, we are mod friendly, if that is a concern for you.

I used to go to Costa Mesa as well and Kris was the one who always helped me. She's really cool and hooks it up all the time. A large majority of the staff from Costa Mesa went to Tustin. You could try to see if the girl you're talking about is there.

Thanks guys. I have heard nothing but good things about Riverside but that's just a bit too far to drive.

Kris from Costa Mesa is who always helped me out also. She was great.

Now I just have to decide between Tustin & West Covina.....which freeway do I want to sit on???

Thanks again.

If in fact the Costa Mesa team went to Tustin, I absolutely will not be getting service there.

I have posted a few times (in the distant past) – I bought the car from Costa Mesa and couldn’t have been happier with the experience… at first I serviced the car there – and could not have been more disappointed… not once, or twice, but three times in a row they f-ed up… I never went back and would never recommend.

Then I found Tustin – in the 04 thru 05 they were great! – then they went through a few changes and weren’t as good, but still worth-while…

So unless Costa Mesa did some SERIOUS straightening up with their service team, I highly suggest being careful when you go to Tustin (if Costa Mesa’s team is there now).

For those of you touting the female service writer (or whatever) – I certainly hope it’s not the same one multiples of us have had negative experiences with. There was a chick that was ridiculously horrible in all aspects of service and customer service.

Anyway – take your chances I guess… but hearing that Costa Mesa is now at Tustin has just made a loyal Tustin customer find another dealer for warranty and service.

Yes, Costa Mesa was that bad - and its awful to hear/read that they are (or might be) at Tustin.

kris,

So costa mesa where i got the car, was never a consideration for me.
