As of Mrch, here's how it looks internationally:
Oslo , Norway $6.82
Hong Kong $6.25
London, UK $5.96
Tokyo, Japan $5.25

Relocation is also an option:

Riyadh , Saudi Arabia $0.91
Kuwait $0.78
Caracas , Venezuela $0.12
yes but those places are very tight packed and most people can never own a car and be ok with it. here in the states we are very spread out unless you live in a major city and even then you still need a car.

If gas hit $10/gal, we would be deep into a recessionary period.

The ripple effects of something like this would be so widespread it would be mind boggling.

It would affect prices of all goods. Travel industry would be almost nonexistent. Airlines, transportation and logistics companies...just about every facet of commercial and industrial business would be affected.

I drive 49 miles each way to work. At 21.5mpg and $4.68/g it cost $21.33 every day to get to work and back! I ended up buying a 96 Integra and haven't driven my G to work in the past 2 Weeks.
