Haven't been pulled over for it, but have had my car nailed TWICE in the parking garage at LAX.

I'd rather be the one doing the nailing.

Thanx,
Management

I drove my 300ZX for 12 years and never got cited
for anything.....damn lucky!!! If you get stopped
for anything most cops will do a walk-around to see
if they can nail ya for something else. Wow, I can't
believe you can get a ticket for no front plate just
being parked.....that's bad

I don't know what I'm doing right, but I drove my '91 Maxima for 11 years without a front plate and never had a problem. My wife's '98 Acccord hasn't had a front plate since new. She has had a couple of infractions over the years, but none were for not having a front plate. I've been pulled over once in my coupe, got away with a warning, but by not having a front plate was never an issue on that one. So far, so good.

I got one in old town pasadena for no plate. then I got 2 more in west LA when my car was parked. In west LA, if meter maid see your car without the front plate, they will just put the ticket on your window. At least in west LA, its not fix it ticket but it still cost somewhere between 25 to 40. so if you guys are planning on going to west LA like Sawtelle Blvd(where bunch of japanese businesses are), try to park in parking lot or side street. don't never park on Sawtelle Blvd if you have no front plate.

I was stopped at a stop light and the cop next to me at 23:00 hours. I stepped on it redlined 1st and little bit of second and the let off. He came next to me and didnt know what to pull me over for. I didnt go above speed limit or anything. So he pulled me over and gave me plate ticket wich i already had and didnt pass the due date. It was a fun experiment thuogh.

I just got my fix it ticket from El Segundo PD. They are ****'s with the front plates. The guy pulled me over just for that and a car made an illegal u-turn in front of us. When I asked why he didn't choose to go after the moving violation he said it is their policy to site the first violation they see and call in the other.

So that makes 4 tickets in 2 years- one in El Segundo, one Redondo, and 2 Santa Monica. It's a good thing it screws into the tow hook so I can pull it off in the parking lot after getting the PD to sign off on it.
