I remember getting nailed at the USC area for not having my front license plate w/ my 1994 Accord Coupe--so of course i went and put it on ... however I don't want to fathom the thought of a G35 coupe w/ a plate in front--just not too hot in my opinion....

Just curious was it just the USC area that was super **** about front plate? Anybody in the SOCAL/LA area get jacked?

Got one on my coupe on my way up to SF for a weekend when I first had the car a year and a half ago...all I did was take that little plastic center piece out, bolt the license plate on that black frame that came on it and bought some 3M double sided tape and taped it on. Got it signed off by the CHP and drove off. Stopped 2 blocks away from there, got out and took it off right away and put the center piece back in [img]/w3timages/icons/tongue.gif[/img]

Dont park in Downtown LA on the streets without the front license plate. The parking patrol will issue no front license plate tickets too. Asses

Santa Moncia is also famous for this. For example, if they are writing a parking ticket, they will check your car and site you for any other violation - i.e. no front plate!

I personally keep the plate on as I do not want to give the cops any reason to stop me.

 

got one in santa monica for my GS400 from a parking enforcement...$25 this was a couple years ago though.

yeah...LAX sucks. my car was parked at the long term parking lot-C when it got ticketed for no front plate.

In my old Civic I got two, but both were compounded on other tickets (speeding), so I guess I can say I have never been given JUST a plate ticket.

When I got pulled over in my G (note that I am fighting the ticket as I proved it was a physical imposibility I was going as fast as they said I was) the cop wrote everything up, was about to walk back to his car then walked to the front of mine and looked. If he hadnt already wrote the ticket, I guarantee he would have given me a plate ticket.

Got pulled over just for that in Santa Monica/Venice just before I got off the Freeway. It was on my old car but drove that way for 10 years before getting snagged.
