it's easy to sort out the immature ones from the mature ones in this thread. without mentioning any names....let's (the mature people) not argue with the lil kids. Some people are sheltered obvious and haven't been around the block. That's a shame to them and their parents but we should just stay on topic and not turn this thread into a flame fest.
Back on topic, I'm staying away from CC. I dont feel like going through all that headache to save $10-$20.

Anyway, went to Circuit City with my wife over the weekend to see how incredible their sales were, since we're in the market for a new flat screen TV. Best they could do was 10% off the flat screen TV's. Looked at a Toshiba 37" for $699, meaning it was now about $680 if you subtract the discount and add tax back in. I found the exact same TV online for $600, and free shipping, no tax. Their sale didn't really "wow" me. And yes--you need to be careful with the "clearance" sale prices on some merchandises, because the liquidators have set the price to be 10-30% off the "original" price... I'm not going back til maybe March and see if there's anything left that they're desperate to get rid of....

see all of you are doing it wrong... you go to the store BEFORE the liquidators take over... you see before they show... CC will try and sell off ANYTHING and everything they can... once they "buy" the place from them... they buy the inventory as well... and tend to charge about 20% MORE than what CC would have charged you before they closed down...

G_Sedan, you're right and we have spoken about these kinds of conversations many times in the Off-topic lounge, I thought by now you figure something about me hahaha. If i was sheltered by my mommy, everything paid for, and living off her and not doing what I have to do now, I would not be talking like this, right? I would be grateful and happy, but since I'm practically on my own and still made it out there, the things I been through and had to do to get to where I am now, I can stand proudly and speak with my hardheaded opinions, and back it up! I went from rags to riches and still crying haha I'm 1/10.
I forgot...you're not sheltered...you just move weight.
forgive my confusion.

You think I'm making a fool of myself because you haven't met me, if you knew me you would not be saying what you would be saying right now, trust me. Get this straight also, I make more money then my mommy and daddy haha, period. I just picked up a brand new g37 on my own and paying for it on my own, don't call me immature, I guarantee I have bills higher then half the people on this forum to pay, excluding people with house mortgage etc. Another thing, the economy does not affect me at all, so I can't join the whinning band wagon. But I do understand from the point you see it from, you DONT KNOW ME, so you would IMAGINE i was some immature kid living fully off my parents and being cocky about it, trust me when I say my parents are no different then most of you, struggling to pay the bills. Again this was only about CC, but heck if they want to go all out, so be it.

Shut up Wally lol and nickel sacks are ghetto, rather go work a legit job then do that
Ain't claiming to be a big shot nothing, nor claiming about my fame. Heads Swollen right now? Forget about how it is to be poor and needy? Dammnnnnn what the fvck lmfao, you keep putting words in my mouth and talking trash lmfao. Don't need nor care about any respect from any of you guys. Karma for me? For what? So you're Hoping negative and downess upon me too eh? Hrmm Alright then.
But seriously now tho, shut the fvck up, don't escalate all this too another level, now move on with talking trash on Circuit city folks, anyone got something you wanna say or debate PM me, I'm loving it. I know I'm entertaining alota people puhaha
Well with your arrogant responses and telling everyone what a big shot you are it's hard to give you any kind of respect and credibility. All this claims about you making loads of money in tough economic times while in collage is hard to believe. So you buy a G37 big freakin deal is that your only claim to fame. You say that you are from rags to riches and yet your head is so swollen that you forgot how it is to be poor and needy. You're right I don't know you just like you don't me and I hope to keep it that way. And when you start generalizing people and saying that everyone is in the same boat but you. Well, I just hope that the day would come when karma will kick you in the rear and then, maybe then you can come to your senses.

Rider. I am not offended by your comments. I guess I was a little too sarcastic with you. The thing is, it is never right to laugh at people who are less fortunate than you. I am glad that you have come a long way, being young and making a living for yourself. The sad truth is not every one is like you. There are people who are richer than you, and there are people who are poorer than you. But you will RARELY see rich people going around and laughing at the less fortunate. (at least the ones who worked hard to get there).
I am glad also that you know a lot of people in SoCal. What if they lost their job? Or their daily lively hood? Would that be funny to you? 34,000 people lost their jobs. From the people who made 300K a year to the people who made 12k a year. The thing is, these are all hard working people, who, instead of depending on welfare and the government, work hard every day to make ends meet.
Minimum wage is not a funny matter. It just shows that some one is willing to work, rather than bum around and depend on government hand outs.
Not every one is as fortunate as you are. What do you think people will say when you claim to make more money than most of the members in this forum?

I volunteer at a soup kitchen in Baltimore at least 2 times a month and some of the people there have college degrees and would be VERY HAPPY to make minimum wage. People would be suprised to find out that over 50% of our population is only a few paychecks away from being homeless themselves.
I noticed that the circuit city by Arundel mills (MD) had their prices jump a few weeks ago. $22 for a regular DVD???

Here is some insider info for all of you guys. ALL MERCHANDISE is back to MSRP now. The liquidator owns everything. Even the fixtures. There is no negotiations. Here is the funny thing, circuit city was selling a few laptops for $650 last week, after the liquidators took over, the price jumped to $750. Sadly the people who wouldn't shop last week and pay $650 are now paying the inflated price due to the 10% off sign.
Circuit city doesn't even exist. No price matching, no getting prices which are on the tags, its what ever the liquidator says, and if you don't like it, you can leave. That is how they are treating customers.
A good company destroyed by upper management. 2 years ago the stock price was $35. Now its .02 cents. I can't fathom how management can destroy a company in 2 years that had more than 1.5 billion dollars in the bank. It wasn't even on credit like best buy is.
