Im in need of a shop to fix my TSB ( AXLE CLICK) on my 03 G Coupe. Im hoping the price would be better than the stealership. And also be really close to Anaheim hills ?
Anyone know of one ?![thewave](https://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/th_wave.gif)
oor ... If anyone can perform these directions, ( HAS TO KNOW ABOUT CARS) no half assing
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DIRECTIONS
u can find molycote grease at a pepboys, autozone etc...
-take your wheels off (rear)
-pull out the cotter pins with needle nose pliers(1 on each side)
-take off the the big bolt in the middle of the rotor where your center cap would be when the wheel is on.(1 on each side)
-take off the 12 bolts on the inside of the axle where it meets up to the differential. (6 on each side) to make it easier when u have your car jacked up or on a lift leave it in neutral with the e-brake off so that u can spin the axle to be able to access all the bolts easier as u go along. just make sure your car isnt gonna fall on your head. then let the inside of the axle hang so u have clearance to slide it out.(the ends closest to the middle of the car)
-slide the axles out.(they come out going inward towards the middle of the car) u may need to tap it inward from the rotor side to free it up. use the end of a thick ratchet and tap it with a hammer. couple of taps should loosen it up.
- use the grease to lube the living **** out of the splines on the end of the axle that slide into the hub. dont be shy with it.
-slide the axles back in. u will not have to tap them back in now that they are lubed.
- put the 12 bolts back in
- big nuts go back on
- cotter pins go back in. i put new ones in when i did mine because they get a little mangled when u pull them out.
- wheels go back on and it wont click anymore.
- it clicks because there is no grease in the splines of the axles and they are rubbing on the splines in the hub.
If you can do this and DO have the Know hows, ILL PAY FOR LUNCH !!!!

I know the chief mechanic at Tustin Infiniti. He does side work. I have him do all the work on my car. I never go through the service dept unless it's a warranty issue. I can get you in touch with him if you like.
PM me your contact info if you're interested and i'll forward it on to him.

Problem is I dont have a dealer around me, not even in the whole state. I have to go through a BMW/Porche/Honda dealer I have the extended warranty with, I can go to any dealer, but the maint guys over there are good, so if I bring in the actual TSB they should be able to do it. Still looking for a link if anyone knows where it is, all the ones I've found so far are dead.
