I've received almost 100 "no front plate tickets" over the past year. (every time, my car was parked)

I ended up renting a garage... it's cheaper in the long run

Fix-it ticket fun....:(

I'm almost of the opinion fix-it tickets are a luck thing, I drove my Z for 12
years with tint and no plate. I've parked from Laguna north to San Jose
and never got a ticket....maybe using a carcover helped?

I don't see whats the point why they give you a ticket parked with no front plate! Can their fat butts just walk around to the back and see that your tags are up to date geez! Gotta tell you that sucks knowing the bacon has left you a ticket in the morning.

wow, that really sucks><, I guess they're doing anything possible to salvage droplets of money in this economic state - but giving parked cars tickets is kinda o.O -> I had almost the same happen to me, cop came into the parkinglot while I was waiting to pick someone up and gave me a tint ticket ._.'

I was under the impression that you can only get a front plate ticket as a secondary offense, meaning you have to be cited/pulled over for something else before they can cite you for no front plate.

unfortunately car covers are illegal in most permit parking areas... the law is simple... you gotta have a front plate.. end/ story

And I know plenty of people (myself included) who were pulled over for all kinds of other "fix-it" issues such as modified exhaust and tint, with no other offense involved. Luckily, never happened in the G. Only for speeding so far. A fix it ticket is more like a citation, doesn't need to be signed to be issued, similar to a parking citation. I'd rather just pay the 10 or 20 dollar citation once in a while rather than run my front plate. But I agree, I would be pretty furious if the citation was given to me while my car was parked at work. Just pay it off and hopefully that waste of tax dollars doesn't come snooping around your work parking lot as part of his work duties!

I wouldnt care so much about a 20 dollar front plate ticket, it is them noticing the tint and giving me the $125 ticket for that that makes me hesitant.

find a way to temporarily put your front on and go to a police station and they'll sign it off for no fee...sheriff stations charge though
