New to Southern CA
Hi everyone
I currently belong to the Midwest section but relocating to So. Cal in mid-July. I grew up in the South Bay area but moved to Minnesota 10 years ago.
I just thought I'd say Hi to everyone. I've been gone for 10 years now and don't know the changes to So Cal. Hope everyone can give me some suggestions for new places to go in LA.
Any pointers and suggestions would greatly be welcomed.
PS: Anyone have the PAC Aux? Where did you purchase it from? Did you do the install? If not, who? I am considering getting one and building a carputer to go along with that.
Thanks

Nothing has changed in the last 10 years, accept adding another 10-40 minutes to your commutes.

You know whats changed about the damn traffic is now even on Saturday and Sunday the freeways are loaded.

Ted:
I grew up in Hawthorne, progressed over to Lawndale, Torrance, then Redondo Beach before moving to Minnesota. My family lives in Redondo Beach and Lawndale currently.
I see that we used to have the same stomping grounds. For me, that was many many moons ago...
I would love to meet with you guys in SD but I will still be in Minnesota that week. I will be moving to Redondo Beach during the week of July 18th. After that, I would love to come to a meet...you guys know how to have fun at a meet.

Re: New to Southern CA
There are a lot of people that can't/don't know how to drive. Even when there is no traffic, you will find people driving on the 405 on the pass between West LA and the Valley driving at 35-50 mph. The CHP really needs to monitor this area. Tix for driving too fast/too slow would pay for an officers salary and then some all day long.
There are other areas where there is no accidents and still traffic does not move then all of a sudden it just starts flowing. But even then there are lots of dumb people who still do not drive the speed limit even.

Re: New to Southern CA
wow. Reading these responses brings back ugly memories of LA traffic. Seems like things have not changed from 10 years ago. If anything, traffic seems worse (last I drove on 405 South was a month ago). It makes me feel slightly better that I have the 5AT.
