That's too generic of a statement since Ventus is just a line of tires, not a specific model.

As for tires, since you run 17's and want something sticky, how bout you consider these:

Bridgestone Potenza RE11
Yokohama Advan AD08
Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Spec
Nitto NT05
Federal 595 RS-R
Kumho Ecsta XS

98% of the guys here will have no idea what these tires are, but if you're looking for the stickiest street tires money can buy, then these are it.

If you want even sticker, LMK and I can recommend some r-comps for you.

Btw, these tires are sticky enough that you will NOT be chirping 2nd gear in a 6MT without seriously abusing your car.
Sorry, I meant the ventus v12

Amazing. Made a big difference when cornering and whatnot, but I need tires that grip better.

I use Hankook Evo S1 , they grip well for me
dirt cheap too ! they were 139/each for my rears tires. (staggered rim sizes, so my rears are most expensive) ..haven't replaced my front yet since they still have hella tread left.
I don't run 17's though, 19's and larger o.O
