i must say, it was a lot more organized this year than last year. they actually had "in" and "out" for the stairs/exits. last year while trying to exit the stadium to take a ****, it took me 30 minutes to get out of the freaking place. by that time, i was over it and went home.

so, did you guys hear about the temporary ban on raves at the LA Colosseum?

Cliff notes:
-15 year old girl, Sasha Rodriguez went to EDC
-Her friends states that her water bottle was "contaminated"
-She overdosed
-Went to the hospital and was unresponsive for two days
-Sasha died.
-Everyone is pointing fingers at who is to blame. Parents? EDC? LA Colosseum etc.

lots of sublinks:

Who to blame? Hard to tell, but I'm sure she wasn't stupid to realize her water bottle was "contaminated". If she didn't her friend shoulda said somethin. Blame goes on Sasha I would say...and partly her friend.

Parents...why? Sasha coulda said she was goin to a sleep over. Unless she said she's going to a rave, well that's the parent's decision. Even then Sasha should be aware of wtf is going on. So I'd rule them out.

EDC? Come on....that's like saying let's ban all raves, all concerts, all clubs, etc. Drugs go on at any of these types of events, so why should the even be at fault? People can sneak drugs so easily. All they did was pat you down, but you could easily sneak drugs in between your **** if you're a chick, between your azz checks, under your ball sack, inside a cigarette box, in your wallet....possibilities are endless. Be smart, and avoid that sh*t if you don't wanna risk killing yourself.

People don't realize, especially these dumb young azz kids that you CAN have a good time being sober.

/rant

But it sucks she died.

Sweedish House Mafia, Kaskade, Deadmau5 were amazing. They all played the songs that i loved. I was very surprised how Axwell and those guys were mixing. U usually don't hear that type of song transition in raves. Good stuff! I can't feel my legs and my calf muscles are swollen. Other than that had the time of my life.

Friends that have rolled before tell me that if i do extacy, i will hug one of the speakers and just go nuts. They have seen me how much i enjoy the music sober/drunk.....
Don't roll. I am joining you next time you go .

well, heres a video. VERY HORRIFYING, and intense all the way to the end. Even kids kicking/pushing REAL police.

Jesus flipping christ... this may be the only reason why I would NOT go to big raves ever again, until they do something about it.

It has nothing to do with the drugs... Drugs are always gonna be there for as long as there's a demand. The biggest fail is that the event is so unorganized they didn't realize what they were going up against. I mean come on you think a couple of those fat umpa lumpas are gonna stop the rush of 180k people?? I was actually talking to some of the guards there and they say the only duty they have is to let people in and stop people from coming in. WTF?

I understand their concerns and why they would temporarily ban the events, but its only the matter of time before it gets organized and goes down again. There's no way of stopping it, the only thing that can be alter is by planning a better event.

Lastly, I have no mercy for those who are injured and died. I am sorry for the losts they go through, but they should be aware of the event that they are going and the people who they are going with. If your friend peer pressure you to take a pill or a tab or smoke a puff, then your a dumbflop for taking it from them. Afterall, people these days really don't know what responsibility is. Taking 5 different kinda pills and being under multiple intoxication are NOT what you call responsible. I can go on and on, but I am pretty sure you all get my point. Play as you wish, and take the responsibility as you're destined to. Dumbflops..

After watching the vid posted I would def have to say organization is key. All those fence hoppers and not one security personnel to stop them. When I saw the blood on that chicks face, I was like holy shiet. People become selfish and when they have their mind focused on something, they don't care about anyone else. Drugs does play a role. It doesn't affect everyone the same. I know people that will drink and act retarded and I dislike being around them, I actually avoid being near them because if I'm drinking too, then people are going to assume I'm like that as well. I'm not saying drugs are entirely to blame...scratch that...can't blame drugs, but you can blame the people taking them. Like you said, being irresponsible. If you don't know how you're going to react to it, don't do it, or do it in a more controlled environment. I'm sure security will tighten up a lil next year, but probably still won't be enough. Fvcking people have to ruin it for others....it's sad.
