Giving away the G...

The best ideas usually come to me when I'm on the toilet.

I've pretty much decided to give my G to my nephew. He's turning 16 in a few months so he's going to need something to drive. I've used my G as a daily driver for a few months now. The ongoing sounds its making and it being my first used car is wanting to make me give it up.

Does anyone know if Nissan has any lease offers on the GT-R? I'm expecting to pay around 1500 a month for one. I know I wouldn't buy it though.

damn, can i be your nephew?

I know you're trying to be a good uncle, but please do not give your 6mt G35 coupe to a 16 year old. It's just not a logical choice.

^because for a lot of us (myself included), the first car we get at 16 usually doesn't last more than 2 years due to a variety of reasons (inattention, compulsiveness, stupidity, etc).

since we all love our cars, I much rather not see another "my G got wrecked" thread, so buy him a civic

I get what you're saying. He's not like that though. I trust him. Plus if he breaks it or hits it, that's his problem. I have an appointment set up with Whipz Auto Spa to come and buffer the car and pretty much a full detail. He's a good guy, he deserves it.

Anyways. So nobody knows if Nissan has an lease offers on the GTR? I wanna ****** an 09 because of the changes for 10. I gotta call and get a quote and see how much the insurance would be tho...

Maybe I should do that first

dude i understand you want to give your neph your g

but i rememeber when i was 1st starting to drive i wanted a 240 with an sr that made 400 to the wheels

its a good thing i didnt get it and i got a sentra cus i was the most resposnible driver in my fam and i still got introuble in my b13 weather it be me doing something stupid or just my luck

a g is a great car but giving it to a 16yr old as his first car is like giving a 13yr GTR, just not practicle

selling it to him might be more reasonabile but just handing it over is a big mistake IMO

Its easy to say that not all 16 year olds act the same. I'm not going to keep the car, but at the same time I don't wanna go through the hassle of selling it. If I don't sell it, its just going to sit there when I get a new car.

Kids these days want to have nice things. He works, he makes his money. I trust him completely to drive the car.

LOL! I wanted the same thing and got a b13 SE-R. Little did I know what an SR20 was when I first got it. Long story short, I boosted that bad boy. If I had something like a G35 at 16 or any equivalent sports car during that time of my life (mid 90's era)..boy would I be in trouble...
