Whats the best scenic Roads in your area????

I am planning to make a cross country trip this summer (2010), and I am looking for input from others to help me lay out the route I will be taking... I will be making this trip on a Sport Bike.

I am leaving WV and headed for the East Coast, then south to Florida, probably to Key West. Then WEST to California.

But what are some of the best roads to take??? I am thinking about taking RT250 South to Virginia Beach area, or maybe even Rt 50 to Ocean City then heading south. I am not looking for a road that has some sweet twisties for 10-15 miles... I am looking for roads that will take me a much greater distance, yet still be a nice scenic view.

Also, if anyone knows of some good sites that would be worth seeing... Post them up...

I am after any useful input.

I want a scenic view, some nice twisties and something that will carry me 100+ miles. Know of any???

Yes, I joined yesterday, but I have already been told that the site is mainly California. So its not going to help me much on the rest of my trip.

I'm not too familiar with the rest of the country, but The Dragon is one of those legendary roads. I believe it is it VA (not 100% sure, but def on the east coast).

Once you're in CA, I can help you out. PCH is a great scenic drive, and will take you all the way up the coast from so-cal to nor-cal.

As for twisties, some of the greatest roads (if you have the ***** to push on them) are closed due to the fires we just had, but others are still open, so we have plenty of options.

When do you plan on coming? You should come to some of the so-cal meets.
