8/28/04 HUNTINGTON MEET SIGN UP NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I was thinkin' about it, summers ending soon and everyone has been asking about another "Huntington Meet." Last time there was one in June and it turned out great...too bad i didn't get to go to it! GR! But anyways I just wanna know if anyone would be willing to go if we had one, and if so let's set this baby up! I'm not that great of a planner (I'm only 17 guys and girls) so you know i'm makin' a suggestion here that maybe can be pursued =D

I dont know if it would be a good Idea to meet that close to Main street though. I live close by, and It usually gets pretty crowded by 9:30 - 10:00 or so. What are your guys' thoughts on this?? I suggest meeting somewhere else, and then doing a Main St/PCH cruise down to Laguna.

If what you say is true.. then I think we should take this into consideration... I think we all want a place to all park next to each other =D

I am from HB as well and would attend the meet. However, here are my concerns:
1) Parking is expensive in HB, and we won't be able to reserve parking for our meet. Which means everyone will have to park at different places unless we go to the parking structure.
2) HB is pretty crowded at 9:30 in the morning. Lots of activities going on in HB in the summer time.
If we can get these little details figured out I am sure we'll have a great time.

What about down at Brookhurst, Beach, or Magnolia.. between one of those theres gotta be one.. how did we manage last time?

The last HB meet was not at the parking lot closest to the pier on Main & PCH. Rather, it was in front of the <html>HILTON Hotel </html>near Huntington Street and PCH. The parking lot never gets full, but it does cost $10 to park there for the entire day. Around 20 vehicles attended the meet and we were able to park next to each other and most people did not really start showing up until 10:30 in the morning.
I wish I could be there again and hang out and give away some goodies, but I will be preparing for a Drift event in Irwindale for the 29th. Have fun guys and gals.

Roman brings up a good point... we can park at Hilton Hotel.. but the only thing it's 10 dollars.. anybody have any better ideas or are we willing to pay 10 bux each car?? i am if thats what it comes down to

Come on guys!!! $10? If you can afford to drive a G35, you can afford to pay $10 to park. Pay the $10 and have fun. You can go in and out of the parking lot the entire day.

Im going scout out parking lots on Beach Blvd after work tomorrow...Im confident that Ill find a large AND free one that we can meet in. From there, maybe we can cruise down main st and then all the way to Laguna. My only concern with that would be traffic on PCH....we might not be able to stay together for the whole way.

yehh well it depends what we all want.. if everybody just wants to hang out at the beach or whatever then we can do the parking lot for 10 bux.. if not we gotta find somewhere free
